FFXI had some pretty epic songs. I really liked the opening song, as well as the songs in the Garden

Anything by Jeremy Soule

To narrow it down, either KoTOR or Oblivion

I took most of the KotOR tracks and put them in Oblivion, and those tracks I chose fit incredibly well with Oblivion's wilderness/towns/battles. My Oblivion's Music folder is around 700MB and I removed none of the original tracks, when I play it it's epic-sounding.

From what I can remember:

Max orchestral moody game start screen music
Some of the Planes of Power expansion music in EQ 1 (Plane of Tranquility, turn down low, fall asleep)

Everquest.

C&C games have pretty decent soundtracks as well, being a decent runner up.

My true favorite is my Morrowind audio folder, but that's cheating since I added numerous songs from multiple composers.

Outlaws. Amazing orchestral themes and compositions. Very atmospheric and integrated perfectly into the game.

Undoubtedly! I even ripped the tunes to mp3.

I forgot that was possible. If I can locate the disk, I'll be doing that. I use to spend the evening just 'chillin' to that soundtrack.

Dude, you misspelled "The Homeworld Series"

It's a common typo, the keys are like right next to each other...

Deus Ex had a simple, but incredibly fitting soundtrack.

Edit: Morrowind had an incredible one, though. Unlike Oblivion's, I just couldn't get sick of it.
