Just wondering what your favorite soundtrack for any pc game is. Mine is from Crusader No Remorse.

Command & Conquer.... You cannot really specify which game in the series but overall they are of extremely high quality.

Hell March 2!!!! Im a Mechanical Man! *does the robot*

in terms of what i tend to listen to the most, easy enough.

a mix of:
max payne 1/2; splinter cell game series; neverwinter nights 1 (haven't sampled nwn2 yet); diablo 2 Desert and Toru songs;

Crusader: No Remorse is actually one of my favorites as well (along with the rest of Alexander Brandon's pre-2001 work), but I think I prefer Starcraft's to it by just a hair.

I have heard good things about IceWind Dale's music.

NWN2: MotB had some good music, as did certain tunes from EQ2.

But, Battlefield: Vietnam has to be my favorite in terms of music (unless you are talking about original music).

My top picks would be Unreal and Deus Ex, followed closely by the Freespace series. The C&C games also have some very good stuff.

Agreed.

Also, I really liked the opening theme to Battlefield 1942.

really tough question there. I mean, there are some good soundtrack out there, but it doesn't hit me as "whoa, omg, that ST is awesome!"

off the top of my head, Hitman (the original one 5-6 years ago).

and as other said C&C did a pretty good job.

and I will go out in a limp and say Crysis too.

Most of the songs from the original C&C. Hell March from Red Alert. Nothing amped me up for battle like those songs did.

The exclusive tracks for The Battle for Middle-Earth II are amazing. But my favorite soundtrack, to answer the thread's main question, is without a single doubt and no hesitation The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, you can't go wrong with Jeremy Soule.
