Father kills man sexually abusing his daughter, thoughts?

if I were on a jury I'd never convict.

This.

I think the father was in such a rage over what this scum was trying to do to his little girl that he just lost it.

I wouldn't convict going by the information available in this story.

Well, if the father gets tried like Gary Plauche, he might only get probation. Crazy video on youtube, Gary waits for his sons child molester at a phone booth in the airport. When the police bring the molester by the father turns around and shoots him in the head, lol.

Current situation is heat of the moment response based on information we have. Plauche plotted and waited.

Please don't confuse my statement with defense. If I was in Plauche's shoes, I can't say for sure I wouldn't have done that same thing.

First link: How does this work exactly?

"A story exploding over social media is hitting a nerve with parents, even those without children ..." 😕

Second link: And is it just me, or does the video in that second link sound a little biased at the beginning?

"... Investigators say her dad refused to let the alleged molestor get out alive."

This is Texas, everything is biased. People may not be parents with children but they do have little sisters, cousins, nieces, etc. so it "hits a nerve".

I hate when the media pulls this shit. And they always do. Describing the guy who got killed or shot as "the victim". No! The victim was the daughter and the father who was forced to kill the criminal in the act.

The victim was an "acquaintance" of the father who had come to help care for some horses, Harmon said. He did not know how long the two men may have known each other. The girl was taken to a hospital to be examined and has since been released, Harmon said.

I truly cannot believe there are people in this thread questioning whether this guy went too far. If it comes out that that the story is false, OK, fine.

But as a father of 3 daughters, I assure you that if I caught someone sexually assaulting one of them, I would have every intent to kill them on the spot and would make damn sure I did exactly that. My only concern would be adding to my daughter's trauma at seeing a man die before her eyes, not whether I was in the right to kill him.

If this man gets so much as a slap on the wrist I will be disgusted. He deserves a medal.

I've got three children, a boy and two girls. When they were young they NEVER spent a single second alone with any male who wasn't TRUSTED family.

I'm not sure if I would have killed that guy or not. I'd like to think I would have held him for authorities, but I can't say without being in that situation what I would have done.

But considering the guy from this story felt so strongly that he killed the guy, why did he leave his daughter alone at the age of four???

That said, I don't think I could convict him if I was on the jury. Those of you in this thread saying "the law's the law, he needs to go to jail" make me sick. The fact that our culture stands for the criminal justice system releasing child molesters back into society in any way, shape or form is your fault.

Kill 'em all and send a firm message to the rest that if they act on their urges and hurt children they will pay with their life for the crime of ruining an innocent child's life.

Some new details came out, little girl went off to feed chickens and that is when the father heard the screaming.

if they find that the alleged pedophile DID assault the child, the guy should not be charged at all and should be given an award instead.

Most sexual attacks on children are committed by other family members or friends of the family.

this is texas, a state where a man told a 911 operator he was going to go shoot the 2 people robbing his neighbours house because the popo were too slow, and then shot them and got off scott free

nothing will happen to this man

Award comment is retarded.. but the rest is accurate

i just read this... apparently i wasn't the only one who said the thing about the award lol

The sheriff says her underwear had been removed and that her father hit the man's head with his fist, killing him.

No one in Shiner is second-guessing his actions.

"A couple friends of mine, we're sitting right there and we discussed what little we knew about it and I frankly said, I'd give the guy a medal," one man told Eyewitness News.

"When he saw that, I think it's justified. I'm sorry but I totally think it's justified. What would you do if it's your child?" another Shiner resident said.

Harmon said the father appeared to be remorseful over the man's death and said he never intended to kill him, but rather save his child. A grand jury will decide what, if any, charges the father will face.

God bless Texas. Now that my father is retired, my son gets to spend a lot of time in that great state with my parents instead of being trapped in our apartment. But his mother misses him a lot.
