No. It just seems weird that someone would try to molest a child with a parent so close by. It doesn't make sense.

What makes more sense is for this man to befriend someone he hates, get him into his home and find the perfect excuse to make tomato paste out of his head.

Especially in Texas where people are kill happy.

this is what i am hung up on and i have 2 daughters.

this thread is a microcosm of our society. somebody gets the label of child molester and people go nuts wanting blood. however there is no proof (yet) that this guy did this. all we have is the father saying he did and killed him...

if proof does come out that the little girl got violated by the scumbag then yea the father losing his cool is justified.

I disagree, if all fathers beat every guy to death that comes near their daughters we would have a lot of dead men.

example: Guy hugs daughter and father responds with death.

If his story is true (and there's actual proof to support it), then I say good for him. He protected his daughter, and I don't feel the least bit bad for the abuser.

If on the other hand there's no proof to back up his story, then he's just a guy who beat someone else to death, and he's looking at some serious jail time.

Again, no.

This happened in America (not sure where you are from). Here the person in question does not need to back up his story. The burden falls on the police to provide evidence that he was NOT protecting his daughter. If there is no evidence indicating it happened any other way than what the father described, then this case is closed.

And it's in Texas. This case was closed before it was opened.

He's making an affirmative defense, so yeah he does need some proof to support his claims.
 
okey so
if the dad caught them early and there are no physical evidense to back up the story
thats why we have the police
they should investigated the history of the 2 men
and see how they are related
and frankly
the police oughts to proove or not to prrove a crime
one is dead and we have one side story
if the police can not contratict with that
i say the father did the right thing and killed that person
and peple are forgeting that the system is build on the basis
foudn guilty and then go to trial
if the system is you are guilty you proove your inocents
then all of us can go to jail
for rape murder what ever someone accuse us
how many of us will have a hard time to prrove that we are inocent
and that we were home sleeping or watching tv!?!?!?

let the police do their work
if he tried to rape deserved what he got father no charges
if the father killed someone and used that as excuse then father ought to go to jail (if it can be prrooven that)

Is it more likely that he caught the guy molesting his daughter behind the barn, or that he decided he wanted to kill the guy and came up with this elaborate plot that lures him to his home and hinges on a 4 year old keeping a secret about daddy telling her what she was supposed to say?

It just seems that there are less risky options ... ("Hey pal, could you give me a hand with my woodchipper?").

Based on that, my gut reaction is to believe the father.

I think everyone should agree if there is proof he did what the father said he did, he shouldn't be doing any time.

The law is VERY much on the side of the father. He can lawfully use whatever force necessary to stop the rape/threat and prevent him from being a threat. That it occurred in his own home is just icing on the cake as far as the law is concerned. Won't make it past a grand jury, if he's even charged at all.
