You keep calling them fat pads. Literally all you did through this fast is generally dehydrate yourself. You lost water weight, nothing more.
I barely pissed each day. Probably no different from normal days. Twice, I guess? Maybe three times once. Whatever frequent urination is, mine experience appears outside of that norm.

Despite having two meals in the past two days, with plenty of water content in them, the pads remain less firm than when the fast started.

In addition, I know I was damn well into an optimized state on the sixth day, as I trimmed some tree branches while it was about 33 degrees out with a wind chill to the point of failure with only minor struggle, which meant I was able to generate glucose in an optimized manner by Sunday, which was in contrast to Saturday.

I saw some shriveling on the first day, which could be the water. But the apex of losing the firmness that was there for years....was on Saturday. My left middle and ring were the chubbiest. Never mind that toes still had large pads, meaning I could have lasted another day or two running on fat burning but not losing muscle.

I've probably downed 32 ozs of water today, 21 blueberries, 1/8 slice of pumpkin pie, maybe 3 oz sauerkraut, and 2 oz of romaine lettuce.

Eat normally for about 10 days and then repeat the fast so the remaining stubborn fat can be stripped away. Otherwise, you will just get more on top of the existing one.

Well, I have a new normal then. Starting a meal every day at 6 pm is easily doable now for me. It does help eating Bubbies sauerkraut and some lettuce or equivalent to start. This will be the standard routine going forward for me, based on what I saw in a study or two regarding the usefulness of food order. It also makes sense to delay since fiber and protein take a longer time to digest and it would not wise to flush it out prematurely before digestion is complete.

In addition, it could be that the simple rule of "one or none" insulin surge a day will prove quite health-boosting for me.

Lab results also came out yesterday.
Fasting glucose was 77 mg/DL.
Triglycerides 74.
Total cholesterol was 229. LDL 168, HDL 45. Kinda of makes sense since the excess stored in cells are being released so other cells can use the cholesterol.

The eye-raising number is an A1C of 5.1, which I find hard to believe since I ate less than ideal, with plenty of simple grain foods like pasta and doughnuts due to the stress of helping my mom with lawsuits.
I paid money for these tests. Really, they should be taken quarterly but then the medical industry would lose more than the gain.

For example, I ate today, in the following order.
Sauerkraut
Lettuce and some other greens from a Walmart Cobb salad box(unfinished)
29 blueberries
1/2 a medium sweet potato
1-1.5 oz of pork liver from 99 ranch
1 apple
1 square of 90% Lindt dark chocolate
A little bit of Old Croc cheese.

If you were also eating foods that have lots of zinc and vitamin C in them, they may have helped to control your blood glucose levels. Doughnuts are very, very bad. I wouldn't touch one, unless it was the only thing available. Even then, I would eat it piece by piece with significant time in between eating the pieces, to ensure all that sugar doesn't overload my system.

I know I had at least a few days I totally overloaded on carbohydrates(not just doughnuts). The blood sugar be causing itches on my skin. Scared me into doing walking or some exercise to burn off the sugar over load. 125gs of carbs or sugar in those instances.

That could also be a sign of kidney impairment. You get itching when phosphorous level in blood rises and it tries to "escape" through the skin.
Kidneys are good. It's just the usual neuropathy that occurs when too much sugar floods the bloodstream. I've known the feeling long before caring about food. (like 5-6 years ago, when I only talked about cars or computers on this board, which feels like a lifetime ago).

Remember I'm only 33 plus some months and teeter on the edge of being underweight by BMI. I am a carb addict but not a huge meal type of guy.

I just broke a roughly 92 hours fast few hours ago. I really wanted to go longer but it was pretty harsh for me (headaches) and the food cravings became impossible to resist. Plus, some damn bacterial colony loves to make my tongue white whenever I do a water fast. It's annoying as heck and even drinking water isn't enjoyable because it imparts a certain "taste" to the water. Cleaning it with a brush is useless as the colony returns in a few hours. It's like fasting accelerates the bacterial cell division or something.

I think I had already primed myself twofold. One, is that by going high protein, moderate fat, no/low sugar for prolonged periods in the months prior, shifting to ketosis was not a major issue.

However, it was only after the fasting did I finally lose the craving to eat 3 times or so during the day and accidentally stumbled into an OMAD cycle afterwards without even knowing about OMAD. I have eaten more these past few days since Thursday since
I did some physical labor and strained by quadratus lumborum last Thursday....so I got cravings for various proteins(so yeah, bison, mackerel, peanut butter, pasture-raised eggs). From June-July 2022 till the present, I had high stress from legal matters and lapsed into eating a lot of noodles and other insulin-stimulating foods. In fact, the reason I fasted was to regain some mental function for being able to focus on legal matters, not weight loss or any other more usual reasons to fast. In fact, I have come to the realization the true target is visceral fat removal.

Two, the high protein diet already made 18 hour periods rather manageable for me plus the protein might not have actually been digested until a day or two into the prolonged fast. My last meal before taking the plunge was a rich 27% fat ground beef+ onions.

Also, based on recollection, you take a battery of supplements while I take only D3+K2 and Turmeric+pepper regularly.

Thus, if I had a major increase in peeing, it was from 1-2 times to 2-3 times a day.

Also, my body's natural wiring has always had low blood pressure and an aversion to salt(i.e peanut butter with salt is disgusting to me). I am not very insulin resistant while you still might be if bacteria is growing wild like that. Only an OGTT or Kraft insulin survey can really measure the response over time; A1C can be low but insulin resistance still be present.
If your mouth is developing oral thrush, my suspicion is that somehow, the conditions in your body is providing a lot of nutrition to the organisms.

The worst part about fasting for me is the pooping experience. It was brutal and liquid was leaking out because the actual crap was stuck and laxative action was difficult.

Yup. I experienced that too, but only after breaking the fast. Had at least two uncomfortable visits to the washroom. I think eating some dark chocolate helped to move the bowels a bit but I felt it wasn't a complete bowel cleanse. Maybe two cups of tea will do that for me in the office today.

EDIT: In contrast, when I did the Avocado only fast for 5 days, I had the best bowel movements I can remember. Perfectly formed and they just slid out. Reminded me of fun on the water slides :D

I wasn't entirely honest about what happened after the last water fast. The third washroom visit around 5:00 P.M. after I had a big lunch of rice and fried chicken at noon the same day, was VERY unpleasant and possibly the worst in my life.

I developed cold sweat all over my body, several jets of explosive diarrhea and so nauseous that I felt like I was gonna throw up any second. I think I lost EVERYTHING I had eaten after breaking the fast. In the evening I took psyllium husk mixed with yogurt to clear out any troublesome pathogens in my gut. Got back to normal after a few days. But boy, don't wanna go through that experience again. Especially the cold sweating combined with nausea!

Maybe your food or water was contaminated. Rice doesn't have much FODMAP.

Maybe. Or maybe my pancreas got overwhelmed by the sudden influx of food and couldn't produce enough digestive enzymes in time. I was getting a few "egg" burps (sulphur smell) when I had the lunch. Shouldn't have done that. Egg burps are almost always a bad sign yet I ignored them. Wish I knew what role sulphur plays in gut digestive imbalance and why I get these burps when I don't even eat eggs.

I had to fast for 36 hours for medical reasons in late November, I hated it and don't intend to repeat it until it's medically necessary again.

I haven't strictly stuck to OMAD, but breakfast has essentially become permanently unnecessary for me with the combo of high protein/high fiber and fasting. (holy adverb stuffing). I sometimes eat twice a day

I feel good in the morning without food.

I haven't done a weekly fast since, but I think I've got to eat low fiber, no protein, and laxative foods so poop hell doesn't strike me again.
