Thanks for the response, Soybomb.
You said: "jsm yes indeed you must be cracked out as tehre are many places where speeds such as being mentioned are perfectly legal and fine."
Well, I live in California and it is not legal to drive above 100mph. In fact, I can only think of one place where it is legal to go 100mph - and that is in Germany on the autobahn. I have also heard that it is perfectly legal to drive at a high speed in parts of Montana, but I may be mistaken. Of course, I would love to be enlightened on this subject as I have not traveled extensively.
Anyhow, it is also legal in some places for people to partake of some substances that is illegal in other lands. For instance, in Holland (aka the Netherlands), it is legal to smoke marijuana & hash (or at least tolerated).
So, what specific region has the supreme law that we are going to deem as supreme? North / South Carolina (is there a difference?), California, the UK, India?
Why can we not talk about warez here? Why can we talk about Napster even though it is theoretically illegal since it is breaking copyright laws? Can we talk about using DeCSS here and get away with it? Again, why do we tolerate talking about driving at illegal speeds and not allow talking about the utilization of illicit substances? What is allowable converastion on Anandtech and what is not? And more importantly, WHY?
I just want a nice, logical response. That's all!
