Not sure if its a 448 shader (gtx360) Fermi, or a 512 shader (gtx380) Fermi. However, rumour going around is that it's the 448 shader version, and it's coming in at ~ 1.68 times faster than a gtx285. Puts whichever part (360 or 380) being tested directly between the performance of a hd5870 & hd5970.

GTX285: 51 FPS
GF100 part: 84 FPS

Hmm, I'll stand by my previous crystal ball prediction

GTX360 ~= 5870
5870 < GTX380 < 5970

just like last gen

if this is the new fermi then it's got decent performance, question is price and wattage.

there's no way they would do that. or can do it, for that matter.
Why not? I don't remember the exact figures but isn't GF100 like 50% bigger than Cypress? Same goes for the TDP. Depending on benchmarks and configurations, it'd be strange if there isn't a case where GF100 lives up to its size and power consumption.

NDA be damned. Nice leak!

I'd just be highly surprised if one card were actually 50% faster than another same generation card.

~250W
Price? It all depends on how many chips they'll get from the fab. :D
Don't expect good supply for quite some time.

In a perfect scaling world

360 vs 380

(512-448)/448 = 14%

so a 512 would avg 96fps so

(96-71)/71 = 35 % Ironically equal to the number floating around CES.

Count me among those expecting the 380 to be 20% or so faster than the 5870 on average.

Nevertheless, this is great news on the green front. If we have more leaks like this maybe the buying frenzy for the ATI 5 series would subside. With prices returning to MSRP (and dare I hope for, below MSRP) levels.

happy medium

That would put the gtx 380 faster then the 5970 and equal to 2 gtx 285's.
Not bad.
