Money is just plentiful. I bought all the maps and a ton of skins for various weapons. I have the second to largest wallet (last one I can make is from a hunters quest animal, but I haven't found the outpost yet that offers it)

I'm giving on Far cry 3 until they fix the choppy frame rates. Anything less than 60 fps plays like absolute garbage. I've tried 2 separate graphics cards on 2 separate windows installs on 2 separate systems. That's a lot of different combinations. I can set the settings so I can always maintain 60 fps and have it be smooth but I don't want to have to settle. The game shouldn't be bugged like this. 55 fps stutters like crazy yet 60 is smooth. WTF?

I'm getting about 55-75 on ultra settings at 1080p. Not much different on optimized setting or all high and effects and geometry on ultra either.

I'm noticing the same thing on a single GPU.

Weird...no lag here...

tower.

there are sig weps scattered all over the game. you have to do towers for some.. relics for others or letters..

look at the handbook first page it will show you how far you are and what you need to unlock the next sig welp.

hollow silver stars on there are sig weps.

The signature revolver is unlocked with U-play points outside the actual game.

Man, you have to pay $$$ after you unlock the signature weapons! I dont think I need them anyways...well, aside from the Vector. That gun is badass.

If you're into LMG's the Signature MKG is insane and the AMR (explosive round/extended mag Z93) is also pretty awesome. Money has never been issue for me in this game but then again I loot almost every body and I explore a lot so I find tons of chests too.

Just finished the game and there is still plenty to do. Best game I ever played. I mean like, ever. I can't think of a better single player game. Been some good ones, but this is just really over the top. Also, regarding FPS issues, i had some MAJOR sporadic lag on some missions. Turning off AA fixed it. Seems there is an actual issue with AA on certain missions/areas.

What I'd like to know is if FC3 has proper aspect ratio support. I ask because most of Doobiesoft's recent titles are jammed at 16:9 for some idiotic reason. Even basic ports like Darksiders 1/2 and Star Wars TFU 1/2 have the capacity to spit out full screen 4:3 on my display during game play. Albeit the menus are still widescreen but that's only a minor annoyance at most.

I was just in a situation where I couldn't carry any more money because my wallet was full - so I couldn't sell anything, and my sack was full so I couldn't buy anything. Had to top up on ammo and syringes just to make some space. Luckily right after I stumbled across the hunters challenge that unlocks the 10K wallet.

I'm wondering how far along in the story I am now. It seems like I've only played a handful of main missions, but I have pretty much everything unlocked already. Just a few more top tier items, and if I want I could buy the signature weapons.

I think the field of view is so odd. If you are looking straight and look to the sides and someone is there they look distorted until you turn toward them. I dont like how the peripheral vision is set up. I don't notice it on my tv because it's bigger but on the pc the side views are weird

That sounds like the FoV is being set way too high.

I'm about 5 hours into the game and found out the DX9 and DX11 executable don't share save files. I didn't realize the auto launcher had me running dx9, and now i want to switch to dx11 without losing my progress.

any ideas guys? simply renaming the save files does not work.

I'm not sure how they are handling FOV in this game. In BF3 I can tolerate a 75 fov on my 16:9 monitor, but in FC3 I have to have it up around 90 to not get an unsettling feeling. I also really hate how the FOV zooms in when you enter vehicles or do quick time events.

Yeah I know it makes me sick at some point. Haven't found something that is normal yet.

Do yourself a favor and read the entry for "Chicken" in the handbook.

I'm all about stealth. I am on the first island still have everything except the black panther skin. While money isnt an issue, I prefer to keep it. The only signature weapons I bought are the Vector and Silenced 1911 (which I havent used yet).

I have a hard time watching the cutscenes. The way the character is always in shaky cam mode and it seems the focus goes in an out. I just look away. Otherwise, my FOV is set to 90 and I seem to be alright while playing.

I'm having a blast taking bases without getting noticed. Preferred loadout so far is the Vector, Bow, and Flamethrower. Flamethrower takes care of the super predators easily. This is the first game in a long time where I wouldnt mind buying some DLC.

tell the devs.. get on the forums. they listen.

they listened well with the complaints against FC2.. if we do the same for FC3, I can't imagine how good FC4 would be (or anything else they make).

Did you try the "letterbox" mode? Its in the options. That has something to do with aspect scaling or something.

The story kinda got dumb. The main character is so naive and/or stupid. He gave the sister the knife and then Vas tires to kill him with it. Then he tells her about the CIA agent and his friends exit strategy. This game might have been better off without any story.

Don't forget the co op if you are done with the story. It's really fun.

I rarely buy DLC unless it's sale for $1 or so on Steam, but I'd definately pay for another co op campaign.
