I really do love this game, but there are a few things that are just plain annoying. I got to a part where you call someone (part of the main storyline), and instead of doing the story mission I did some of the side stuff (job board stuff) and EVERY TIME I finished one, the phone call part would repeat (and you can't skip cutscenes or calls, etc.)
I can now repeat that conversation verbatim. :(
Too much hand holding, too much stuff on the screen.

i hate driving. the cars are so sensitive. the slightest movement takes makes you turn so much and the cars have no traction whatsover, even like the ATVS.

I had to re-do the 1st supply drop mission like 5 times before i got it because i kept wrecking into trees, rocks, or getting turned around.

driving is horrible. i think it was better in FC2.

I agree that gets really annoying. It's like they created this huge open world game, but keep cramming the main storyline quests down your throat every 15 minutes.

I never had an issue with the vehicles in this game. If anything I find they have way too much grip to be realistic of gravel. But then I play a lot of racing games as well.

sure wouldn't mind hearing about the MP

The co-op is really good; much better than I thought it would be. Fired it up, and ended playing for about 2 hours straight.

It is a completely seperate game, heavily reminiscent of Left 4 Dead. Four characters, completely voiced with cut-scenes, with missions that are usually 'stay alive' and kill everything, mixed with things like setting bombs, and every so often a 'challenge' mission where you compete against your teammates using sniper rifles to wave runners (really fun).

The multiplayer experience seems to be shared by co-op also. I ranked up to 29 or so, which unlocks guns and skills.

My only gripe is the menus, which are convoluted... never had enough time to setup a full loadout between missions, because I didn't want the other players to wait 5 minutes for me to figure it out.

I had that happen too. I'm building a list of quirks I don't like and I'm going to submit it to the devs. They seem to listen and obviously took to heart the complaints about Far Cry 2.

Last time I checked, multiplayer was completely broken and simply didn't work. By "didn't work" I mean you could not enter a match at all.

um works fine for me..
just like the SP better.

Coop is great if you get people worth a damn.

I'll try it again. I've just been too busy with SP. Are there large maps like in FC2? I am hoping for some good old team deathmatch action on a large map.

Well its actually quite good, with one major flaw, and I do mean major. The game feels really good, similar to COD series but IMO it feel "fresh" while COD doesnt. The real problem with it is that the game doesnt have dedicated servers so its laggy as all hell and wont survive a month of gaming IMO.

You will play in games with europeans, south americans etc. Pings will easily be over 300 pretty often. Also there is no autobalance so you will be in 8v2 games quite often. I was in a 5v2 game one time when a group of three joined, and they were put onto the team of 5. Can you say retarded?

Multiplayer could have been really amazing if the basics werent missed.

Though disappointing I really can't blame Ubi for this. SP is clearly the main attraction in this game. MP would likely die out after a short time regardless of how good it is, or if dedi's were included. Still sounds like they could have done better in terms of match making.

It's not worthwhile paying money for any of the guns. You unlock them all by doing radio towers or hunting challenges. I unlocked the grenade launcher last night. That thing is epic. You can dispatch 5 dudes with one shot.

I didnt know about the challenges and guns, I thought it was just radio towers. Does anyone know if the revolver was unlocked by tower or challenge?

Yeah well I bought it for the single player, but honestly they did put a lot of work into the multiplayer, its VERY good. The ommision of dedicated servers just doesnt allow the game to be playable. I guess their only concern was the console version of the game.

It really could have done well I think.

If enough people complain, I could see these devs listening. They obviously listened closely to the chatter on FarCry2.

there are sig weps scattered all over the game. you have to do towers for some.. relics for others or letters..

look at the handbook first page it will show you how far you are and what you need to unlock the next sig welp.

i'm finding that i have too much money and i can;t get more due to needing a bigger wallet...I've bought some gun upgrades just to spend some money.
