would I need to update my ancient 8800gts? I have it on pre-order currently. I am really looking forward to Cod black ops as well this fall. hopefully i still have a job this week o.0

Is there a way to install/play this game on the PC without being a slave to Steam? I'm overseas and don't have access to the internet.

I imagine if you buy the retail box, it won't have to download through Steam. But you'll still have to sync through Steam, then go offline. You've no access to the Internet at all, not even phone tethering?

Excited - sure anytime a fallout official or awesome mod is released.
However - I have the patience to wait until it's on sale. 🙂

It would be cool if someone made a Fallout 1 and 2 conversion for Fallout 3 - same style quests/dialogues/etc 🙂

I'll probably get it, simply cause I just can't stop myself from getting games. Took all my willpower today to walk past EB without going in and getting FIFA 10.

I really enjoyed Fallout 3 so Ill definitely be getting New Vegas. Hopefully they've fixed the Gamebryo engine this time. Way too many technical problems on all platforms, not just PC. Do publishers even have QC departments anymore? 😛

Excited for more Fallout, disappointed that it looks like they used way too much of the same environmental texture work from Fallout 3. I understand it's the same engine, but come on, if you're going to charge full price for it, at least make it look like I'm getting a new game.

Still gonna buy it.

I'll have to see the reviews on this one first... I liked F3 and Oblivion but I've invested a ton of time into those games (esp Obliv) and I'm nto sure I want to spend anymore time in the gamebryo engine...

For some reason this all seems funny to me

Well, I'm one of *those* people who didn't play Fallout 3 because I liked 1 and 2 so much, and I have zero trust in Bethesda. I might pick up NV.

Chaotic42:

I was also a diehard FO1 and 2 fan, and while FO3 wasn't the same it was still a fun game.

I pre-ordered from Steam last night. I'm pretty excited. I liked FO3 a lot and never had any stability issues. I kind of rushed through FO3, but I'm going to try to take my time with New Vegas.

I heard they sucked at story telling (Alpha Protocol?)...is that right?
Anyways, I can't wait to play this and I for one thrust Obsidian and the nice background guys they have!

Alpha Protocol was buggy, but the story was good only thing that kept me going to finish.

It's not a bad game, just not a AAA effort and not nearly polished enough.
