I am :) Not like starcraft 2 excited but i really liked fallout 3 and the only problem with it is that ive finished it and done everything and can kill most things in the wasteland easily, in fact my dog can kill pretty much everything on its own, so i need a new challenge. Im looking forward to more of the same stuff but different :D like vice city was to GTA III sort of thing, more of the same but different.

Anyone else looking forward to it?

The trailer is impressive: Fallout: New Vegas Trailer

Anyone else looking forward to it?

Sort of.

Fallout 3 was a great game but spoiled by poor stability and awful/short story.

If New Vegas can improve on those two flaws and continue in the same vein as Fallout 3 started, I will be impressed and happy.

Definitely not a Day One purchase for me due to the stability issues of previous games.

Fallout is my favorite series of all time!

Big transition from the old school isometric FO1 and FO2 but loved FO3! It was a little thin on the dark and quirky humor I loved in the old Fallout but I'm hoping it will be revived in New Vegas.

Already pre-ordered and can't wait!

If New Vegas is stable, I'll pick it up. Definitely going to hold off for a week or so though, FO3 is unplayable for me.

Not I. It looks to be on the same track as Fallout 3. The first person perspective is horrible for RPGs. It really breaks the immersion factor.

Fallout 1 & 2 still remain two of my favorite games.

I finally beat Broken Steel...apparently I was incredibly close to the end, but stopped months ago and forgot about it.

I'm ready for New Vegas, but I still feel Fallout 3 deserves exploring. The stuttering is irritating though.

I am all over this game. FO3 is one of the few games that I've actually gotten almost all of the achievements just because I liked the game so much.

I'm definitely a "post Fallout 3 convert" to the series. I've tried to play FO1 and FO2, but I just couldn't get into the game play. I know this blasphemy to some... My apologies to anyone I've offended. :)

That being said, I've heard a lot about Interplay's writing/plot and how much better it was than Bethesda's. I'm hoping that New Vegas will combine the game play of FO3 that I liked so much with the original feel that devotees of the FO1 and 2 appreciate.

The stuttering is irritating though.

There were a few months around the time Broken Steel was released that I had to revert to older drivers to play FO3 smoothly, but the issue was fixed for me in with the last few NVIDIA drivers.

I'll be picking it up day one-ish; probably no time to actualy play it until the weekend.

I was using 195.75 (maybe?). I tried upgrading to 259.32 since someone on Guru3D said it fixed it for them. It did nothing for me. So, I reverted to 182.50, and now stuttering is gone.

I don't really know if a newer driver will fix it though. In 260.63 the problem is still present according to multiple users on Guru3D.

Why? Surely seeing what your character is seeing is more "real" than having a camera following him.

Thanks mofos, just preordered it at BB. Went for the collectors edition; not much in there that I want, but for $20, why not?

Loved the lunch box and bogglehead of the original.

Wouldn't have bought Fallout in the first place, it was a gift. I'll pick F: Las Vegas up for $5 or $10, but otherwise Bethesda is dead for me. And I liked Fallout 3 much more than Oblivion. FO3 was still buggy and crashy; some unknown update fixed it somewhat, long enough for me to finish, but no more chump for Bethesda here.

I'll only pick it up when it's cheap. The only good thing about Fallout 3 was how open it was. Everything else pretty much sucked. This doesn't look much different but will pick it up when it drops below $30.

It's made by Obsidian, which is somewhat composed of old Fallout creators. The main thing I look forward to is that Obsidian is a much better at writing stories than Bethesda.

Obsidian is always a day 1 purchase for me. They've just developed so many things that I am thankful for that I love to show my support for the studio.

I heard they sucked at story telling (Alpha Protocol?)...is that right?
Anyways, I can't wait to play this and I for one thrust Obsidian and the nice background guys they have!

Even Alpha Protocol? Haven't heard a good thing about that game yet.

Fallout 3 was my introduction to the series, so I can't say I'm a diehard fan. I liked the story and atmospheric game play, so I hope they improve on the immersion and interactivity of the next environment. With the little sneak peaks out there now, it all ready looks like it's heading towards one of the better games of the season.

I also have to think about picking up MOH and Black Ops to get back into clan gaming.
