lol

Reminds me of the fanboys whipping up the completely made up specs and posting them on pastebin or whatever the site was lately. People sure jump on the rumors quick and soon enough posters "know" something from "someone".

Only thing I could think of would be R290x2?

You can't R290X, that would be an epic fail.

Well, that would finally give a purpose to having 18 inches of graphics card clearance in a case. Either that, or it would ship with a water block and radiator.

all of AMD flagship cards have been perfectly symmetrical. there is a good chance that hawaii is a 3072 sp chip with AMD waiting for yields to improve and to build up a good stock of full 3072 sp cards

HD 5870 - 1600 sp, 20 SIMD 1 geometry engines
HD 6970 - 1536 sp, 24 SIMD, 2 geometry engines (768sp x 2 / 12 SIMD X 2)
HD 7970 - 2048 sp, 32 CU, 2 geometry engines (1024sp x 2 / 16 cu x 2)
R9 290X - 3072 sp, 48 CU, 4 geometry engines (768sp x 4 / 12CU x 4 )
