Facebook Threatens to Shut Down Conservative Facebook Page Site

I don't know how many they would have to whine and complain for us to be able to track it.

Here is the thing, Facebook doesn't shut them down unless they get complaints.

When they get complaints that violate the TOS, they shut them down.

So the real question is, are conservative Facebook pages getting more complaints than liberal, if so why?

The last point is the real question, There are some Conservatives who try to shut down liberals but for some reason there are much more liberals who try to shut down Conservatives or just things they disagree with.

This is wrong because I hear many liberals/left wingers argue for free speech which is a good thing but many times they dont like what they hear and want to shut it down. This is not free speech

Facebook isn't a government entity, they have the right to shut down whatever page they feel like, whenever they feel like it. That's the facts. If you don't like it, don't use facebook. In case you didn't know, they have these things called "web pages" that people can make on their own, that aren't controlled by facebook.

Facebook has the right to shut it down, I dont argue that but what I do dispute is the double standards since they went after these two girls who were Conservative and many leftists did everything to stop them by reporting them

Well I'm not sure it's an issue that liberals are more prone to try and shut conservative speech down, rather maybe from a pure demographics perspective more liberals use Facebook?
 
Shutting down communications pathways for anyone just because they're not being PC seems pretty anti-American to me. It's your right to say dumb shit, regardless of your political persuasion.

That could be the problem but if it is I dont think the difference would be that big. Even if more liberals use Facebook they dont have the right to shut down the pages of Conservatives that they disagree with. This is hypocrisy and double standards. They made pages saying kill romney and they think thats alright?

There should not be a bias, Give the conservatives freedom of speech and stop shutting down their pages.

I agree. Facebook owns the network, so they can do whatever they want. It just seems like the wrong thing to do, to me. They are publicly traded now - I wonder if that has any impact on their ability to discriminate against non-protected classes.

The other point about "targeted conservatives" has also been explained to you several times. Lets keep a running count to see how long it takes that one to hit home.

Publicly traded doesn't really change anything except that they may measure their actions to not negatively impact usership, thus lowering revenues etc...

Clearly in this case they don't really think it will have much of an impact.
