Glad you guys found the 4550 rebate. I was gonna have to wrap some heads if they didnt put that out.
We ordered two of the popular based configuration 4550s discussd in this thread early on Tuesday 10/8 around 10:00am EST before this thread was started and received an estimated stip date of 10/16. However, we placed an order for a third yesterday 10/9 about 11:00am EST and upgraded the processor to the 2.53Ghz processor since it was only abot $30 with the combined discounts. We received notifcation this morning 10/10 that unit had shipped!

Anyway, it loos like the 2.4Ghz processir is the limiting item on the deal. This is something to consider next tme that Dell offers such a deal.

My friends, colleagues and I literally received dozens of rebates from dell - never a problem
Except for COSTCO Dell is the next best company for rebates

This is a great deal. I ordered one three days ago and I have talked 4 other people into ordering one. Hopefully I can get a couple hundred for the 15" LCD monitor on eBay. Thanks to everyone in this thread for all the great information!

Mine still shows "order processing" and a date of Wednesday Oct 9. It shows the preproduction date of Wed Oct 9 also.
I had to reorder because they cancelled my first order (I paid be e-check, presumably there was something wrong with it).

If anyone got one of the ultrasharp monitors and was gonna sell it give me a pm I was gonna order it just for the monitor but didn't wanna go through the hassle of selling the comp.
I believe Dells come with Intel mobos that cannot be OCed, not 100% sure it's Intel, but pretty sure it cannot be OCed

Had a killer time getting my order in...the old pc I'm on kept locking up right when I'd get to the checkout screen (damn ENPCs Chaintech board!)
I thought I'd upgraded the mem to 512M (and would forego the rebate), then a day later had second thoughts since I could by the mem cheaper. I just checked and it shipped today...with the 128M memory - whoopee! I get my rebate after all!
Picked up a Inspiron 4150SE for the little woman, too. Hmmm...Dell better be good with their rebates, as I've now got $500 worth hanging out there!
Now I just have to figure out what to do with the LCD monitor. Don't really need it, as I've got a 21" CRT, but I just couldn't pass it up.

Maybe we could compile a list of Dell flat panel monitors available for sale, so interested Anandtechers could find them locally. The savings in shipping and fees (compared to buying at ebay) could be split between the seller and the buyer, and everybody would be happy.

I'm trying to get on the dell deal, however I can't find the 15in flat for $80 extra it says an extra $280 for me, is this deal dead? If it is, anybody want to sell me their Flat Panel?
