I don't normally go to cosmetic departments to look around. My wife buys me the knock-off Neutrogena from Walmart or Target. It's pretty standard for clearing oil and leaving my skin feeling alright...but it does have that salicylic acid as it's active ingredient.
I was killing time in the Portland airport and I bought some Kiehl's face wash on a return trip home. It has a little grittiness to it, scrubs to a lather, and smells maybe a little minty. I recommend it for facial hair.
