I am almost through my current bottle and am in the market for a new one.

I am in my early thirties and starting to age. My shampoo is Pureology and it is worth every dime over the Bed Head I used to purchase. Pureology is much more expensive than the normal premium brands and the difference is obvious. The jump from 3 dollars bottles to 20 dollars bottles were minimal.

Face wash I have not had much ROI on. I have tried Jack Black, Kiehls and Estee Lauder. Oil of Olay has worked the best so far. Is there another tier that is far superior to these washes? I don't mind spending money on this stuff since it last so long.

Since everyone here makes high six figures I am sure that there are a bunch of options you guys use.
It is only worth it, if you have an expensive face....

Do you have any experience with the LX line?

1. My entire family uses it.

2. I have to spend $1200 a year on the stuff. Usually I wait for the Christmas promo to stock up on it. I have so many bags and samples!

3. Facial products are subjective and everyone's faces react differently. So you are going to have to do some trial and error and experimentation. But my family members like it and insist I buy it for them.

I pity you with that expensive of a family lol. I will order today from Nordstrom(they are the cheapest at 49). If you know of a good place to pick it up PM with details. I am scared of amazon since so many fakes are sold on there.

yeah purbeast. I saw that stuff, well beyond my means. It is supposed to be the pinnacle of skin care from what I have read. It uses seaweed.

Dial Triple Moisture for showering, plus a couple lotions outside this scope of discussion.

The regimen for me is more of a necessity, since I've been dealing with seborrhea on ~20% of my body for the past couple years. Left unchecked it gets very, very uncomfortable and most common soaps do nothing against it.

purbeast linked to the wrong product. Their face wash is only $80. Give it a try after the Shiseido.

But if you're really into cleaning/pampering your face, have you looked at the Clarisonic?

I gave my mom the knock off version from Oil of Olay. She started using it for a month but stopped after a while. She never raved about it and I never went to buy one for myself.

I have heard mixed reviews on it from the people I have talked to.

I think expensive word comes to those people who can not afford that particular thing so for those friends of mine I will suggest to not go for expensive ones, one can make a simpler face wash an expensive by using it properly and eating good food, I always recommend a natural face wash.

My face care is facing the shower head with my eyes closed and the water on full while cogitating on the futility of life and the general existential despair that getting out of bed involves.
Then I go get a cup of coffee and everything is fine.

I scrub my face with steel wool every morning. Wakes me right up, and nothing beats it for exfoliation!

I use St Ives Aprocot face wash. It uses ground up walnut shell for grit, biodegradable.

I've been about a full year now on bar soap just for the nooks and crannies; no more full body washing for me! I use the cheap Biore-like "charcoal" stuff from Target, every other day or so, to wash the face. My lustrous Fabio hair gets shampoo every 3 or so days.

Going without soap has basically erased all instances of dry skin, redness, itching, etc.

Here's an easy read on the history of the soap industry and how they bamboozled the world (though it took them several decades), into using this thing called "soap" daily and then, years later, when problems that never really existed in humanity suddenly appeared due to use of these same products, like psoriasis and other dry skin maladies (including the more aggressive acnes), the industry then had to invent more products to remedy the very problems that they created--"skin lotion and moisturizers"...things that the human animal absolutely never needs. ....it's basically like Perdue Pharma getting humans hooked on their oxycontin then developing the drugs to remedy their oxy-induced constipation and to ween them off of their deadly addictions.

what a scam!
