My mother is an ordained minister, yet would never be considered a bible thumper by even the most ardent atheist. I dare say she has certainly "engaged in public displays of her belief." it's her job.

I've known plenty of people heavily involved in church activity while growing up, very few of them would I consider bible thumpers.

so....I'm not so sure that your broader perception of the term is accurate.

I don't have any perception of the term, other than it's obviously dergatory. I'm just trying to figure why I'm being called one in this thread.

If you understand it, then you should be able to explain it.

I'm listening.

No, you're not listening. You have no intention of listening. Your only intention is to argue (which makes you a liar, btw, which is against your religion). That's fine, we can argue. It's fun when you admit things like you're too stupid to read a link that virtually every single other person on this forum has the mental facilities to read and comprehend.

No, not really.

You believe in something you have no evidence for. Of course you don't see a pattern. That pattern has evidence, which you seem to have an aversion toward.

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

Yes, I'm now I'm seeing the pattern.;)

Wow. Evidence right in front of your face and you still refuse to see it. Evidence that you, yourself, are responsible for providing.

Are you saying, indirectly, that you don't exist?

Yes, evidence is a terrible thing indeed.

I'm not sure what you mean, I acknowledged the pattern. Even I can see the pattern above.

Nik, I've made it clear that I think that everyone should have the right to believe as they chose.

What's your opinion?

Not if that belief can be proven wrong.

If you believe the sky is red, you're a wrong, and can be proven wrong.

If you believe evolution isn't real, you're wrong, and can be proven wrong.

Just because you don't understand that evolution is a proven theory, doesn't mean it's not proven.

You have un-earned the right to know what I think.

I did originally care what you think, but that was when you first joined, before your trolling antics began. I no longer care. Your opinion is completely irrelevant at this point.

Okay maybe I'm misunderstanding but are you saying that I don't have the right to believe something that you feel can be proven wrong?

It's not about feeling. It's about evidence. You can believe anything or feel anything you want. But you know that, because you're just trolling. As usual.

It's got nothing to do with the way I feel, you are wrong.

I don't feel you're wrong, science proves you're wrong.

But hey, you can believe something even if you know its wrong, just don't argue about it with people.

Good, we both agree that I can believe whatever I want.

Yet, while you agree that I can believe what I want, what I believe appears to be very upsetting to you.
