Context is everything. He was inferring you are a member of a group he does not care for, yes. However, your position that it makes him a racist, and/or supporter of genocide, is just silly. That or the Nazi accusation is due to suffering from persecutory delusions.I think that the statement was completely apporpriate.
Closet racists tend to avoid owning their views on race. They often point to other groups, using terms such as "they," or "those people".
Y'know, I've always been bothered by the way people mocked these comments by President Clinton. I mean, no doubt, he was trying to weasel around things, so I'm not trying to defend his testimony, per se, but the fact is that "sex" and "is," while obviously short and easy to spell, do not have totally rigorous definitions in common usage.
Is a hand job "sex"? It's certainly sexual, but is it "sex"? Mutual masturbation is sexual, but few would call that "sex." There is a bit of arbitrariness in deciding what activities fall into the category of "sex."
It's even worse with "is," which is what bothers me the most when people make fun of it like it should be obvious. "Is" can denote an identity, or it can simply denote attribution. It easily causes confusion because of its ambiguous meanings, particularly in the reification of abstractions.
It just seems painfully sophomoric to mock the suggestion of valid distinctions as if the fact that the word is only two letters must mean that it's meaning is also very simple and obvious.
Think of it this way: "is" is the present tense of the verb "to be." What is the meaning of "to be"? What does it mean to be? What is being? These are questions that may have no real clear answer at all, and they have challenged philosophers for centuries to find good answers, but still we just carry on using the word a thousand times a day as if its meaning were a given.
Anyway, that's my little rant/digression.
Let us return to our regularly scheduled flame war, already in progress...
Please prove that I'm racist or hate anyone.
If you can prove it, I'll admit it publicly and admit that you're right about everything.
Oh, and if you can't or if you reply with another question, you automatically agree that I'm right and that you're nothing more than an ignorant, pathetic troll.![]()
Okay, bravo.
So why are you an ex "bible thumper"?
I don't need to "prove" anything, your words speak for themselves.
jesus i totally missed all of thatYou asked the first 117 versions.
Would you care to act like an adult yet? You have yet to answer ANY of my legitimate questions in this thread (or anyone else's, for that matter).
You are absolutely the WORST debater I've ever seen on these forums and I've been here a freakin decade.
I mean, fuck, you're worse than I was when I was a bible thumper here.
To be completely honest, I'm willing to engage you in civil, mature discussion on the matter. However, I do not believe that you are capable of civil, mature discussion based on practically every thread I've seen you posting in with a religious nature. Sure, it may start that way, but you very quickly degrade into silly nonsense like you've done here time and time again.
If you're legitimately interested in having that discussion, read the links we've provided. Go back through this thread and answer the pointed questions people have asked you that you purposefully evade.
Earn it.
I'll wait.
If I choose to read it, I'll do it on my own time, not when you tell me.
Frankly, I don't have to "earn" anything from you.
I'm not going to answer a question unless I understand it. If asking for clarification bothers you, too bad.
If you're looking for someone to bow to you, you have the wrong guy.
If you knew what bigot meant, you'd know it wouldn't fit with being equal opportunity.
Again, before you introduced the concept of race into this, when did ANYONE mention any kind of race?
Hmm?
Are you going to reply with another bullshit question, refusing to address the issue?

Looks like you've come 180 degrees. How do you explain your conversion or unconversion?
Called it.
I don't really disagree, but the point is that its meaning is hardly clear-cut. If your momSex is not limited to intercourse. A handy is a sexual act. An act of sex. A type of sex. No, it's not a type of intercourse, but it is indeed sex0ring.
Why did you ask for it when you weren't willing to read it? Your cry for proof was a bluff? You're close-minded, I see.
If you don't answer anything you don't understand, you're basically saying that you don't understand anything because you haven't answered anything.
You just called yourself a dumbass.
Good job, duder.
I'm not looking for someone to bow to me in the slightest. I'm looking for someone to show that they're actually interested in civil, mature debate. You clearly are not ready to be civil or mature and continue to prove it with each post.
/facepalmI asked for a link? When?
If you understand what you linked, you should be able to explain it to me.
Go ahead, I'm listening.
I don't really disagree, but the point is that its meaning is hardly clear-cut. If your momgave me a handjob, and I went around telling people I "had sex" with her (like I usually do
x 2), you'd probably object that I was misleading people.

Bible thumper is a pejorative term used to describe Christians in general, especially someone perceived as aggressively pushing their Christian beliefs upon those who do not share them. Its target domain is broad and can often extend to anyone engaged in a public show of religion, fundamentalist or not.
So, Nik. I haven't pushed any beliefs on anyone. On the contrary, I believe in the freedom to chose and the right to believe whatever you desire. Then you must think that anyone who publically expresses Christian faith is a "bile thumper", is that correct?

Oh, I have it. Don't worry. It's written on the stall in the Mod's dungeon bathroom. :twisted:Would you like her number?![]()
Are you implying that you are incapable of understanding mature, intelligent explanation from the source and that you need me to translate into kiddy-speak for you to understand?
Oh, I have it. Don't worry. It's written on the stall in the Mod's dungeon bathroom.
That's right.
