LOL I remember when the GTX 512 came out (last time) and Mwave had it for some 7-800 and everyone's like "Just wait, it'll come down."

Hopefully for anyone buying this refresh they release real quantity

Don't worry, once the reviews come out and show it's barely (if any) better than an X1900XTX, the prices will immediately drop to ~$550. (Assuming they actually want to sell them.) The only other reason is they don't actually have a good supply of them (like with the 512MB 7800GTXs).

You are right about the price, but we don't know if the X1900XTX is the faster card at the moment. We will know all of this on Thursday or Friday.

I'm personally interested to see if there is any difference between Regular and superclocked versions. and by that i mean, can the regular one hit superclock speeds?

Since GTX 512Mb performs not bad compared with X1900XTX I guess this 7900Will make things difficult for ATi. Also I have good infos on 550/1600 clocks for factory OC'd 7900GTs...

If they launch at those prices, then i WILL be putting a x1900xt card in my other rig also.

mwave - what a bunch of bastards.

I wish some of these repeat gougers would just die, but there are too many stupid people supporting them.

Checking over at ocforums, someone also found a 7900GT listed at mwave for $349 which coincides w/ the CompUSA price. But the product has also been taken down.

Someone also called mwave to confirm the price on the 7900GTX and was told that was the standing price.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no way the 7900GTX will debue for anything close to $350.

I would venture to say it won't be anything close to $750 either.

Yes, but remember when it came out 7800GTX 512 was far faster than ATI's best offering. Now, even with this "Superclock" card, ATi has a card out that is faster or at least equal. They cant charge a premium for the "best card" like they did with the 7800GTX 512, people will buy the X1900XT for $450.

That is my plan if the 7900 is too expensive.
