lately using apnews.com as was suggested to me but I also like cbs news website too.

PIX11 news website is ok for local.

There's the matter of the call to Raffensperger in Georgia too, that's just... fine, I guess, since he didn't go along with it?
Or maybe an unrelated, isolated incident, not indicative of an overall intent to remain in office illegitimately?
Perhaps fair game because of the "2,000 mules"?

Whether or not people went along with it doesn't matter - that's the Sideshow Bob defense. While Georgia and the fake electors and the 1/6 insurrection are elements to that I think it misses the central action that all of this was in support of.

The central action is Trump deliberately and repeatedly attempted to get the Vice President to violate his oath of office and exceed his powers under the Constitution to throw out electoral votes so that Trump could serve a second term as president despite losing the presidential election. That's an illegal attempt to stay in power, which is a coup.
 
Well, among the cable news channels, CNN used to be the least biased. However, the money machine just wasn’t ticking over fast enough. First thing was the 'Alert - Breaking News', that seemed to become permanent. I got tied of that and stopped watching all together. Glad I didn’t watch the apparent train wreck show. One of my keys to not losing my mind over the upcoming presidential election is to not watch or listen to Trump at all. Not even if he’s in the 'debates' (Biden should skip them, IMHO). He'll just lie, misdirect and then blames the dems for everything). Complete waste of time.
 
I’m looking forward to the 2024 election. Even if Biden loses we have a gameplan to have him maintain his presidency that the right approves of (using greenman as the bellwether for republicans). Of course since Dems are more competent than republicans, they’ll be able to create their own fake electors and have democrat governors change the results in Biden’s favor.

I’m sure there will be some people who complain that the election was stolen and that what Biden did was not only illegal but also a coup but I know greenman will stand strong and correct them.

Even easier than that - given what Trump attempted to do that Greenman thinks is totally not a coup attempt Kamala Harris can throw out any electoral votes she doesn't like. As long as Biden wins at least one state Harris can declare him the winner. The great part of this is that means we will never have another Republican president because once Biden's second term is up Harris can run and declare herself the winner and slot in a new VP, who will then carry on the plan until the end of time.

We don't even need to bother holding presidential elections anymore because the VP picks the next president and as we've already covered that is apparently not an illegal attempt to seize power.

Pretty much me, I stopped watching around last year. Coverage was crap with all these cheap ass hosted shows. I did frequent their website but I’ve mostly given up on that mainly due to the auto play videos which forced me to shut auto play off in chrome but that caused problems with other sites. Still browsed the mobile site however now I am done. CNN needs to decide what it wants to be and it appears the new CEO wants it to be a major money maker which is fine however if that means “I’ll put zero restrictions on anyone” that’s irresponsible.

The main problem here is that the news media is a moneymaking business and Trump makes them money.

This is a great example of why the whole idea of the liberal media has always been nonsense. Mainstream media exists to make money, not to push ideology. In this case the media knows they would make more money if Trump were president again so they give him a platform, even though that means they are giving a platform to the guy who tried a coup.

It’s about having at minimum some scruples about how you make your money, in this example they allowed a former President on, provided him with the most friendly audience imaginable and a interviewer who only minimally challenged him. They must have know he was going to throw shit at the court case & rape victim. They were cool with all of it.
Shitty way to make money imo.
For example when I worked in telecom and phone contracts existed there used to be one part of the company who wanted to bill early termination fees to literally everyone.
Son got in a bad accident and is in a coma? Well bummer that’s $150 to cancel that account 3 months early.
Brother died? That’s sad $150 to cancel his phone contract
You’re being deployed to Germany? Bummer our device won’t work there oh btw there’s a $150 charge to cancel it.
The argument the finance people made was all of the above deserve to pay the fee they agreed to it. Someone who is deceased or close to death we can still bill it and attempt to collect and even if we can’t collect we can sell that debt to someone for $8 and still get something from it.
Those are all shitty ways of making money imo.
CNN, fox, msnbc, breitbert or whomever has every right to earn monies. I have a right to say that’s a shitty way of making money and consume elsewhere.
 
As an economist, I qualify a lot of the "follow-the-money" assumptions. People are motivated to do a lot of things for a lot of different reasons. The possible motives behind the JFK murder have always fed the speculations, but it derives less from someone trying to protect economic self-interest and more from that someone's access to financial and organizational resources to do the job and cover it up -- otherwise the Mastermind harbored jealousy, and wanted a "special grand project" that made up for the failure of his role in the Bay of Pigs invasion. People pursue careers oft times because they were only looking for a certain level of income and comfort, and they're equally interested in professional reputation or possibility of advancement on the same scale where they find themselves. There are all sorts of examples on this issue, and you can dream up some more that are logically possible.

There are two schools of journalism as classified by established schools of journalism: Advocacy Journalism -- like the Hearst and Murdoch news-media empires have practiced, and Objective Journalism, where the propaganda is nevertheless grounded in facts and a greater amount of factual information. Otherwise, newspapers and news media must make a profit. Demand is recognized, assessed, and addressed.
