Ever put something on your car roof and drove off?

so in periodical order:

1. a 1 week old wallet that cost me $100 + ID replacement cost.

2. a glass plate.

3. a tool box, I drove about 10 miles before it left the roof rack @ 50+ mph. luckly, no one was hurt. the suv behind me kept a long distance from me.

A foutain drink from Subway. Just as I was starting to back out, the woman that worked in the store came running out. I couldn't hear what she was saying so I hit the brakes instictively.... spilling the drink down my windshield. I had to laugh at myself. She was very nice and gave me a free replacement drink.

i think i left my high school diploma on the roof of my car. well i always have pics of it. maybe it still will turn up lol

Oh ******...yeah. Funny you should mention that....I actually did that with my laptop recently, actually last friday. i was packing my stuff up to visit my parents for the weekend, before work. But I was running behind and was rushing so I wouldn't be late. Well....I left the laptop on the car...I hear a scraping noise then look at the mirror and see a black object tumbling across the grass. I parked and hopped out of my car. Put the battery back in and hit the power button. all I was saying was...Please boot, please boot. Unfortunately the CD drive flew out and broke off...I was able to snap most of the chassis back together. It's a good thing it landed in the grass. And I'm even more thankful I shut if down right before I put it on my roof.

I've done that!
I drove into a shopping center parking lot and there were tools all over the place!

My backpack - containig my books, wallet, portable TV. A good samaritan found it in the shopping parking lot where it dropped off and actually looked me up with my address and returned it. There is hope for people yet.

Nope, when I need to leave stuff somewhere I just open the door and toss it in, way easier than leaving it on the car roof.

I do it with sodas every once in a while . Made the mistake with a piza once, too. Fortunately, another driver in the parking lot got my attention and warned me before I really took off.

My mom and dad were driving behind a pickup truck one evening when a full-sized refridgerator fell out of the bed at 50+ MPH :Q

Can't think of any occasion when *I* personally did, but my brother told me about the time he left a Double Big Gulp cup (64 ounces) on the roof of his vehicle when he pulled away from the 7-11 store. Unfortunately, he had his window down!

I've driven a truck with a person on the roof (unbeknownst to me, mind you. bastard decided to hop on the roof because there was no room left on board, and we were shuttling materials between buildings. he didn't feel like walking. it was dark, so I didn't see him hop up)
