Anyone here ever just feel empty? I've got a good job, I've got a nice home, I have everything I need. I just feel empty sometimes. Like there is something missing. It's not good or bad, not sad or happy. Just empty. Like there is nothing there.

Relationship with God?

Yep, legitimized lunacy is the answer

Don't knock it till you try it. It can be very fulfilling for someone who's tried everything else.
If somebody can accept God in their heart, don't you think they would already have done it?

I can't see myself becoming truly religious. It would be a farce, a sham.

Nobody is born intelligent, learned, educated, experienced in life, etc. Religion is the same way.

I can see your point, but many people would take offense to "religious" being included in that list of "good" things.

And many would take offense to "religion" being included in a list of "bad" things by people who don't have a clue or who have never experienced it.

Totally understandable. People aren't born with a propensity for religion, either. Quite the opposite.

Actually we (I say 'we' very loosely) are. Much like we've got an instinct to learn a language and, in many cases, to fear spiders, snakes, and/or heights, we've got a tendency toward religion.

I felt really depressed a few months ago
then i realized i hadent had any pussy or boobies in my face for like 3 months prior.

I got a new GF, got boobies in my face, and got some good pussy.

You being gay, i cannot recommend you go get "ass", but do what you will. 🙂

What if she does try religion for a short time and it helps her out of her rut? What then, guys? Will you still knock it then? I don't understand why people bash religion so much. If you don't like it, avoid it. Ignore it. Why be so spiteful?

That's a loaded question; answering it would completely hijack the thread and start a huge flame war, which incidentally would be a R and something most here are quite sick of. Stop trolling 😛

Um, in a way, I can see your point. However, man's carnal nature tends to drive him away from "God". 😛

Well, if youre down with evolutionary psychology, you could always attribute it to an evolved necessity to prevent stagnation. If it was possible to be totally happy 100% all of the time, we'd still be in the stone age.

For what its worth, Im at the same place. A little different though. I've got what I consider a nice home, a good job, and a great girlfriend, but all of this (aside from the gf), apparently is sub par compared to the rest of the ATOT world.

Sounds not unlike clinical depression. Talk to your doctor. Exercise can help, but if you're in a serious trough it can be very tough to escape.

Edit: Do you really think that God doesn't love you just because you're gay? God loves you, man. No sarcasm there. God loves you.

I'm a guy. 🙂

Well, I guess religion is out then because all "good christians" know that god hates homosexuals...

A friend of min attends (sporadically) a Universalist Unitarian Church, they are very accepting, will accept anyone 'as is'.
