Jesus Christ...how are you going to defend cops so valiantly like this?? I lived in Indiana, in a town of 345 people....not only that, but the closest "city" to me had 20K people. You better believe alot of the run ins were with the same fvcking departments. Only after the "cuffing" incident did everything stop, and that is due to the police officer being discipline.
This is the SAME police department that had a cruiser get in an accident with a high school kid, only for the commanding officer to find 7 pounds of marijuana in the cops trunk. He said it was to "train his K9"....BULLSH!T. It so happens that the accident was the fault of the high school kid, but somehow, all charges were dropped, hmmmmmm....someone covering there asses? Sometimes small police departments are more fvcking corrupt that the NYPD.
See, was it that hard to admit that it was from a small town with a corrupt department? That's all you really had to say from the start. Instead, you blew it up like it was some major city cop crime wave.
That sounds pretty tame compared the fake drug scandals of Dallas, and the trigger happy blast fest of Los Angeles. The reality is that that small Indiana department is in better shape than most.

Given the size of the departments being compared, I disagree. LA probably has about 20-25k cops, Dallas probably around 15k, NYPD is 40k+. The smaller towns with 3-4 officers NEED the better cops. Even the slightest corruption can bring the whole department down. Hell, 1 cop is 25% of your department...they can't afford it.

I had a bad run-in with a chick cop. Little b!tch was like Cartman come alive: 'respect my authorita'. I was glad her partner was male and had more common sense than she did.
All other cops I had to deal with were ok.

That was probably the dumbest post I have ever read. What about black cops? Are they out to get the black folk too?

its really sad, when we see an officer of the peace we SHOULD feel safe and protected, but instead we instinctively feel fear
it is a shame

I gave a cop a Pepsi on Sunday. He was directing traffic in full dress in the direct sun. It was about 90 degrees out and the humidity made you wheeze.
I picked up the Pepsi when I dropped my kids off and stopped and handed it to him on the way through.
He told me he owes me one.The mumfvcker dui'd me about 10 years ago)

We had a car that we thought was abandoned outside my work so I called our local police to come tag it. We eventually figured out who's it was and got that taken care of. The cop was really cool and we just kind of chatted for a while. He was telling me about some random stuff that he had been called to and stuff like that.
I know a lot of people here dislike the police, so I just thought I would post and remind everyone that cops are actually humans too. Though sometimes they do have to be asshole.

Eh, I got a speeding ticket for using my grandpa's car, which the speedmeter doesn't work in, and there was no traffic to follow.
First time I've ever been pulled over and the guy gives me a freaking ticket...so yeah, I'm not exactly happy with cops right now.
I think our bad experiences with cops somehow severely make us judge them as a whole. When I went in to pay my ticket I met a really funny one, heh.
