God damm, you're really an %&^%&^^.
How many times did you mentioned the word FREE ??
For the last time, he did not get anything for FREE.
FREE would imply that he got those $109 BB bucks FREE which he didn't.
He either had to eat at McDs or did the SASE mailing.
So NO, it was not FREE.
And still, you don't get the point.
There is specific rules and regulation for the BB Bucks.
They did state a $300 limit for a reason.
If my math is correct, $109 is a whole lot less than $300.
He is well within his rights, so why did the manager call the cops on him ???
If BestBuy don't want people to abuse the coupons, they should limit the maximum usuage to $50 or something.

Wow, so if you intend on buying, say, a $1000 television from Bestbuy, I could send out, roughly, 400 enveloppes all at once, and eventually receive nearly $1000 in best buy bucks? How are people not abusing this incredibly?

LOL...
he got if for FREE as far as that store is concerned. ie they are recieving NO revenue for that product. they would be free if he had just gotten them from eating at mcdonalds because mcdonalds did not mark up the price of their food to compensate for the $1-$3 BBB. because he did the whole SASE thing i guess technically thats not FREE, but then neither would printing off a coupon to get a FREE product because the paper and ink costs for u to print that coupon amount to something, so if you want to be an anal jack*ss nothing in the world is FREE. but the amount of money spent vs the value of the product he got was very very small.
and if you'll notice in the official rules that ID is REQUIRED when you use more than $75. and i don't know why the manager called the cops, maybe you should find out what store it was and call up and ask?
(i tried to put FREE in there as much as possible for you, because i care! )

Alright, so roughly 100 enveloppes. It's still an amazing savings. Wow, I should get in on this sometime soon.

max $300 per purchase per day...because not many people know about it.

There you go again not understanding the grasp of doing business.
Best Buy is getting compensated in one way or another(what exactly it is, we don't know).
If they weren't getting a return in doing these BBbucks, they wouldn't be doing it....This is like the 3th+ year they've been doing this.
And once again, they have done this promotion before, so if they think people are abusing it, they should put some more rules in place.
Rules are there for a reason, and he was following them.
And no one is outrage about the manager asking for the ID, its within the rules.
Its calling the cops that is absurd.

F^CK BBY! Drove all the way out there the other night to get the battlefield 2 expansion to see it not on the shelf. Of course no one is near to offer any help. You should definitely go to the BBB for this.
What does the Y in BBY stand for?

Maybe you'd get somewhere with McDonald's. Tell them that Best Buy is giving you crap when you try to redeem their tickets.

The only time I had the cops come looking for me was back in 1983 when I was in high school. I caught a guy in the act of trying to steal the stereo out of my Jeep in the highschool parking lot. Let's just say I went overboard and put a hurting on him he will never forget. Anyway, he tried to press assault charges on me and wanted to sue me for the dental work he had to get. Ended up getting nothing and I got off without an assault charge.
