Closest I have come was when I was TAD in San Diego in the Navy. Me and a couple of buddies were in the parking lot of the NCO club at NAS North Island and may have been enjoying smoking a leafy substance when I saw the blue light bar of the MP truck coming down the parking lot. Long to short they found the remains of said leafy substance under a nearby car but did not witness anyone actually throw it there. They took us in to the squadron duty officer, strip searched us, and turned us over to the duty officer. At that point he told us we were idiots and to get the hell out and stay out of trouble for the rest of the night. The next work day we were each called in to see a couple of NIS (what NCIS used to be called) detectives who pulled a really bad version of good cop, bad cop while I exercised my right to not say anything and that was the last I ever heard of it.

I was arrested once ... it was a 2nd degree felony (non drug related) ...

Plea bargain saved my keister! Been a good boy ever since!

When I was about 11 I lived in an Indiana town where everyone was required to have a license plate on their bicycle. I didn't have one since we had just moved into town, so a cop with nothing better to do pulled me over and impounded my bike for a week.

Got arrested in college for public intox. I was hammered and made the good decision to leave my car at the bar and walk the 1mi home. I tripped on the sidewalk right as a cop was passing by and he took me in. The judge laughed when I told him what happened and threw it out.

Second time was for assault in a bar fight in college. Met the guy I fought a few days later at a bar and we worked it out and he dropped all charges. Worst part was the judge we had to see to get the case thrown out was my parents best friend so I had to tell them what happened. That was a fun conversation to have with them.

Both dropped and I haven't had so much as a speeding ticket since then.

I used to like roofs and jumping off of things when I was younger, I still like to jump off things...

I was arrested and brought to JDC 2 times under the age of 18. Once for getting on a roof of a church and skateboarding off of it. Once for getting on top of a mall at like 3am, they thought we were breaking in, we just wanted to see if we could get up there. I was put in the back of a cop car twice for jumping off of really big bridges into the water and given dozens of warnings for jumping off of piers, smaller bridges, sides of buildings, and other random structures into the intercoastals and gulf of mexico. I was 20ish and got on top of a Burlington Coat Factory with some friends of mine, they thought we were trying to break in but they didn't arrenst us, they just put us in the back of the car to freak us out.

I've done other bad shit that's put me to JDC, mostly physical fights with my father, I'd rather not discuss.

I got a ticket for possession and paraphernalia when I was 21. Lucky for me my dad is a lawyer and pulled some strings to get it dismissed and expunged. I did have to do community service though. That consisted of going to a community center and doing chores. By chores it meant working with a 60 year old hippie, smoking a joint both days, and driving around on a golf cart picking up trash while listening to my walkman.

As a kid I (attempted) stole from Knott's Berry Farm and got handcuffed and brought to the security room by their security, interrogated and all that...pretty much just giving me a hard time and kicking me out of the park for the day.

In high school I was pretty much the delinquent...never there, failed classes, in trouble all the time, spent a lot of time in the vice principal/principal offices...

But not the law, at all, not even a ticket. :cookie:

A good friend will bail you out of jail, but a true friend will be sitting beside you say " Damn that was fun!"

I killed a man just to watch him die.

shot him, right? and i'll bet it was in Reno.

I never did understand why, if he shot a man in Reno...how did he end up in Folsom prison? (two separate states) ;)

figure out how Al Capone ended up in Alcatraz, and various other criminals end up in federal prisons in other states, and I think you'll have your answer.

Nope. Alcatraz and the federal prison system handles only those charged with federal crimes, NOT state crimes...Folsom is part of the Kahleeforneeya penal system, not the fed. Now if the guy he shot was a minority, and the Feds charged him with violating his civil rights...THEN he could go to Alcatraz, McNeil Island, Lompoc, or any of the other wonderful rest homes under the federal system...but still not Folsom...:D

oh man.

well, I've lost all respect for Johnny Cash, then :(
