Nothing worse than a traffic ticket for me. That's not to say that I have been a perfect citizen, just smart enough to not get caught doing the things that might have put me in a cell.

Things I was caught for -

Juvenile:
Grand theft (under $300) - I stole a kid's bike
Malicious burning - set another kid's tree fort on fire

Adult from age 18 to age 30 (last arrest):
in order of severity, not chronology-

Open container
Possession of marijuana, Driving on suspended license (same incident)
Possession of CDS (heroin)
Possession with intent to distribute (LSD)

I don't remember any other arrests but I've been thrown on the pavement and or cuffed in the back of a police car on numerous other occasions.

I've flown the straight and narrow for the last 10 years though.

Never been arrested or charged with anything.

The worst thing I ever did was accidentally steal a package of magnets from Target. (They were stuck to the side of the cart and I didn't see it). I returned them the next day.

Yeah, I've been told before I'm honest to a fault. :p

Simple. I don't think the song says anywhere that that particular crime is the one he is in Folsom for. It is entirely possible for him to have shot a man in Reno, watched him die, then move on to California and continue committing crimes until getting busted there. Now as to why Billie Joe McAllister jumped off that bridge...

See, the thing here is, you won't get people who committed anything to admit to it. All you're going to get is people like the above who have either a) never been in that much trouble or b) are "innocent".

Yup. ATOT is remarkably like prison: Everyone claims they're innocent, most are repeat offenders of one kind or another, and the only sex is buttseghs.

shot him, right? and i'll bet it was in Reno.

I never did understand why, if he shot a man in Reno...how did he end up in Folsom prison? (two separate states) ;)

figure out how Al Capone ended up in Alcatraz, and various other criminals end up in federal prisons in other states, and I think you'll have your answer.

Nope. Alcatraz and the federal prison system handles only those charged with federal crimes, NOT state crimes...Folsom is part of the Kahleeforneeya penal system, not the fed. Now if the guy he shot was a minority, and the Feds charged him with violating his civil rights...THEN he could go to Alcatraz, McNeil Island, Lompoc, or any of the other wonderful rest homes under the federal system...but still not Folsom...:D

Tree fort was owned by a rival gum dealer or sold him some bad cupcakes. Candy and sweets are the true gateway drug :p

My friends and I were enjoying the summer hours and weather one night outside of my parents' house. I was about 14 or 15 at the time. We were playing 'kick the can' and whenever anyone did, because our can was a 2-liter soda bottle, it would make quite a sound. The neighbor across the street eventually came out and started yelling at us. It was about 7:30pm but he felt we were being too loud and shouldn't be outside 'this time of night'.

I laughed at him and he said that he'd call the cops. My parents, who were watching the whole thing thought it was ridiculous and being the complete bad ass that I was, I told him to go ahead and call the cops. He went inside, yelling that they had "a place for me in Cheshire." (there's a juvenile facility there)

He didn't call the cops, I sat on my steps waiting for them. :(
