On Friday, John Harrington of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety announced that Chauvin has been taken into custody in connection with the May 25 death.

Civil Rights act was passed in 1964. Caused a political party to loose control of the south. Some people seemed to think everything was just peachy keen until a black president was elected. No this isn't getting fixed anytime soon.

I agree! In fact I do not view this as an arrest! I view this as the Police protecting one of their own!
 
They had to arrest the murderer ! They had no choice! Because if they didn’t there would have been bloodshed tonight! What with the national guard armed I would venture even the civilians would be armed tonight! This will nor end well!!
 
Per a retired cop I know who worked in a small city.
He cannot imagine a scenario where what was done needed to happen. He cannot imagine a handcuffed behind the back guy being that difficult to control.

There doesn't seem to be substantial doubt on either left or right that what happened was absolutely unconscionable.

Anecdotal evidence, but from my very limited FB friend circle (I only have around 30 friends I think), I have 1) who is bothered by the riots but not the killing, 2) who thinks it's a bunch of paid BLM thugs, and 3) who does not know what happened but is convinced that George Floyd must have done something before the video began and he saw nothing other than officer restraining potentially dangerous subject. Stop by any fox news story comments and you'll see fairly substantial justification over George Floyd murder. It's disgusting.

If I killed someone and it was captured clearly on camera, they wouldn't wait and let me go home for 4 days. I would have went directly to jail, And more than likely the deciding factor to ONLY waiting 4 days was the out of control rioting. I suspect if nobody rioted they would still be looking into it and the office would still be at home relaxing and sipping his whiskey.
