Don't forget, because women must be able to endure pregnancy, they naturally have a higher tolerance for pain.

From what I have heard, it's the men who cry while they bleed while the women take it more calmly.

So I could easily imagine some butch, feminist, lesbian soldier covering my back, fully capable of enduring more pain, and blowing the head off of some terrorist.

But this latest war in Iraq will have a lot of repercussions for women in the military. A lot will be learned, so we?ll see.

That's actually incorrect. Men have a higher threshold for pain.

Thank you, I was flamed enough already so I decided not to mention it lol

That is contrary to everything I have heard.

Try pushing a water melon out of your ass for comparison.

I can't find the specific research article, but here is a news article discussing it.

Just like someone to create a second account to post something like this.

what makes you such an authority?

I could ask you the same question. I have never met a woman who had the same or even close to the pain threshold I or any of my friends have.

I think it was more of a pro-war rant actually. He is saying that if we were really at war we wouldn't hesitate to attack mosques or other civilian targets that may or may not contain the enemy.

So her attitude, simply because she is a woman, translates into a generality that applies to all women?

I sure as hell wouldn't hesitate to blow a suspicious looking muslim's brains out if he came within suicide blast radius of me.

As for the war talk - I do think women are more prone to be emotional. There are obviously exceptions to every case, but AFAIK, there have been studies done illuminating on the difference in emotional stability during stressful times between men and women. I'm sure someone here could find those studies. If not, I'll look.

Don't get me wrong, I want equality for women. But just like every equal rights movement, these groups take to much and go to far. The one thing we fail to do in this country is recognize our differences. There ARE differences between men and women. Just like there are differences between blacks and whites. I'm not saying these differences equate to better or worse, but different. Blacks tend to have stronger more explosive muscles. Makes them more suitable for strength based sports. Thats a general tendency and there shouldn't be a problem saying that. Men may be more emotionally stable in stressful environments. If its true, there shouldn't be a problem saying that either. Its just the way it is.

Considering he sent me a pm saying "Thank god someone in that discussion has sense... "

couple with his post

"I sure as hell wouldn't hesitate to blow a suspicious looking muslim's brains out if he came within suicide blast radius of me. "

Makes me think my take was an accurate.

BTW OP - I'm not on your side in this thread, I hope you're a banned member or a shill account just trolling for fun, but I'm starting to accept that there is a chance you are being sincere. My condolences.

actually Mosh's attitude is one i would be fine with someone watching my back. sure she can be a bitch. but you know exactly what you are getting with her. same with Geekbabe. can they be a bitch? sure. but I know i can give it back without them crying over it.

they don't put up with bullshit and don't back down. better then some males on the board.

edit: heh sounds like im insulting both! lol don't take it as i am. i respect both even if i don't always agree with them.

Actually, I read it the same way. Americans at war = pu$$ies at war?

In the past, war was about winning. Civilians (woman and children) be damned.
