Especially since CliffyB started being a douchenozzle.
CliffyB has always been a douchenozzle...
Especially since CliffyB started being a douchenozzle.
And it was probably pirated more as well. Stop eating Cliff's lunch and he'll come back to the PC. I know some of you frauds probably do miss his games despite the angst. This is the price you pay in theft, you get nothing at all...
the original unreal and UT were by far the best. still have UT on my computer and still play it from time to time
id say both. Pretty easy to pirate pc games. There's just so much wrong with the statement. On one hand he says PC gamers are more tech savy so will pirate things, then he says PC gaming is easier to pirate. So which it? Either it's easy to pirate for so you DON'T have to be tech savy to do it, or you DO need to be tech savy to do it... and then would also know how to do it on the consoles as well.
Pirating can't be ignored on the PC, but to assume everybody does it is silly. I think Steam has curbed piracy more than anything... and that's a PC centric service. Both with cheap games and a tough to crack service. Companies that know what they're doing don't run away from problems like little bitches, they figure out a solution.
That doesn't stop people from pirating games.PC gamers drop more money on their graphics cards then console gamers pay for the entire console. You think we don't have money to buy a 50$ dollar game? Is this real life?
That doesn't stop people from pirating games.![]()
The horror it must be to buy games!!!!it's more like, well I bought this $300 card, I have a right to play the latest greatest games, I mean, I spent $300 what now I have to buy games???? nahhhhhh..

He's not the only member of that team deserving of the term.
Who would actually care about Unreal Tourney IV anyway? You know it's going to be a gimped port if it comes out on the PC anyway.

If it makes you feel any better Bulletstorm was a bomb for them at least

I love Unreal, logged literally 1000's of hours into UT 99 but its been going downhill since UT 2004. UT 3 was a complete fucking JOKE of a game, i seriously felt like i had been robbed after playing it and realizing how bad it was.
I thought the fundamentals of UT3 were great, but it got really muddied up with the crazy vehicles and such. But more importantly, as someone else already stated, Deathmatch is dead.
Honestly, I didn't really care for any of the vehicle additions in UT2004. I feel like they were added to showcase the engine could do them, not because they made much sense. I would have preferred UT99 with a graphical update and some new game modes. If I'm honest though I'm not really into the traditional shooter style anymore.
The game is cheap nowadays. IMO UT3 is a better version of UT99
You need to give the vehicles and UT 2004's Onslaught a chance. I was skeptical about it too, being a long-time UT99 CTF vet, but Onslaught is a great game once you get into it.
It's called TF2, although that game has its own share of problems.Where UT3 really needed to succeed was it's no-vehicles CTF game, which is what drove the original UT99. The CTF game was like a cybersport when played in clan matches and pugs. That's what a new UT game would have to offer that the other shooters can't--a fast paced team-based cybersport.
UT3 is complete and utter crap compared to UT99. They're not even in the same league. Proof--compare the player counts for each game at a given amount of time after each game's release. UT99 totally crushes UT3. UT99 was a rocking success where as UT3 was a huge consolized failure.

Like: it's incredibly slow, and has almost no room for individual skill. It's called TF2, although that game has its own share of problems.
