I live in eastern Pennsylvania and I happen to go over to NJ quite a bit. It's actually a very nice state, not to mention the fact that it has decent gas prices...

It's a decent possibility, definitely. They've been playing great hockey lately.

Doesn't matter you got no fans. Rangers fans bought most of the tickets at the meadowlands, it was not even sold out.

It's due to poor location of the stadium.
The only reason why the rangers knicks sell out is cuz it's in the city. Not to mention most are probably sold to corporations.

You had your Stanley cup celebration in the parking lot... how gay is that!
And on your first game the next season when the cup came in you had this crappy ass fireworks inside the building. Its like the organization doesnt plan things correctly.

It's funny you say that. When I'm driving to work (either in NJ or when I worked in PA), if there was a car with NY tags on it in front of me, there was like a 1% chance that he'd move out of my way, and a 90% chance that he'd swerve all over the place.

NY drivers are easily the worst. The bad NJ drivers are ones which live near NY. That whole area is horrible and needs to be nuked.

NY drivers arn't easily the worst. There just aggresive (and I guess a tad crazy as you get closer to The City). I live on Long Island, on Long Island there is the L.I.E. (Long Island Expressway, also Rt. 495?), the speedlimit is 55mph. People regularly do 70+ on it. If your not going at least 70mph, then you are going TOO SLOW. Not sure if this goes on other places too, but even when going 70+, there are still some crazy drivers (and agressive) in NY.

First of all, the 55 mph speed limit is unrealistic, so nobody goes that speed.

What gets me about NY drivers isn't the speed they drive, it's how rude they are. They cut you off, they won't get out of your way, they hog the fast lane, they're just rude people.

I hate people from North Jersey/NY. Pure scumbags.

Were just rude people? Well, I suppose thats true to some extent (espically people from the city), but come on, were not all "scumbags", just most of us :p (j/k for any other NYers here)

Also, isn't it obvious, people from NY, have to act like they come from NY. Otherwise, you wouldn't be a NYer. ;)

I don't mean all of New York state, just the city area. And I've noticed that people from Manhattan are generally nice, but Brooklyn, forget about it.

It's weird though. I consider Long Island to be in the middle between the rudeness of NYC and all the nice parts up by Albany.

Whenever I go up state to Albany (for family) it feels just weird. People are nicer, roads arn't as crouded, it's weird. Whats also weird is how much you get use to the crazyness of NY (espically NYC) drivers and how people act.

Also, I agree, some people from NYC are really nice. But Brooklyn, "forget about it" (<-in heavy NY/Brooklyn accent ;))

Yes, I think Lee Hottie and his buddies live in Jersey, but using a racial slur and insulting gays by comparing them to the Lee Hotti gang in the same post is probably not a good idea. ;)

Corzine is talking about allowing you to pump it yourself.

i hear that corzine is also looking to raise the state tax to 7%, put tax on clothes and raise the property tax... oh and he promised that there would be no raise in gas tax. he will raise cigs another $0.40 a pack and put an additional tax on alcohol. (Isnt gas 15% ethnol?)

Anyone who has seen Garden State knows nice parts of New Jersey exist, but unless you actively search them out NJ is represented mostly by it's worst traits: the Turnpike and their drivers.

Ha! and New Yorkers will go flying down a city street, running yellow/red lights and ignoring pedestrian crossings... then get on a highway and die at 45mph in the left lane.

;)

Holy hell you just read my mind. :Q

I don't want to hijack the thread, but there's no way that New Jersey is the worst state. It doesn't seem possible that a state could be worse than New Mexico.

Oh well, that just makes it easier for out of state fans like me to go see the games and get great seats. I've been traveling there to watch the devils stomp loser teams like philly and the rangers for years now.

The parking lot thing is Flyers only come back. I'd ask them where they celebrate but their teams have been getting pimp smacked around for the past 30 years.

And there is nothing wrong with the state, it's much better than a lot of the other ones out there.

I used to live in manhattan, and if people ask me when the best time to visit Jersey is, I usually tell them any time between your funeral and your wake.

Just a tip for anyone flying there, if you want to enjoy all New Jersey has to offer, stay on the plane.

Granted the air in Jersey is always fresh, albeit fresh soot.

In all fairness tho, New Jersey is NOT all bad, its just that it is not any good either. :p

Dude, I worked in the Philly area for 2 years. Upper Darby, Chester, South Philly are all such gorgeous areas. Every state has it's good parts and it's bad parts.
South Jerz is like night and day to North. Most people bash Central to North, and for good reason. SoNJ still has a ton of farmland and is why it's still called the "Garden State". Although farms in the past decade are now selling out to real estate (I should know my grandpa was a farmer and is now a multimillionaire from selling out), and people are flocking there because Moorestown got named the best town in the US (my mom lives there, it's overrated and the taxes are 6K/year, the school system is good though).

Doesn't sound very gay to me. Sounds more like something heterosexual people would do.

Yo, what up homes,, I live here, and i think the state is quite poluted, not that i'm not happy here. it just isn't a lie when people bash it. and People here are more crass and impolite than most other states. product of capitalism, parents who have no time for their kids. Oh well.

I like the air in conneticut better.
