No one reads any more either. I'm an avid reader and I've learned new words (how to spell them and their definitions) just by reading.

At my wife's school they have a short assignment to do at the start of class called bellwork. Recently wife (Math Teacher) had them write 5 sentences. (Once a week every teacher must include some writing bell-work to try and improve their spelling/grammar.) Here are some of the responses:

-We didnt have know bellwork monday
-We didnt do work witch isn good
-I don know what she was tryna do
-I hate garbein noms (garden gnomes)
-(Two years ago) I was sad because my gammy pasted away. I went to the funarl and my cuzin was thier
-I hate maskitoes (Mosquitoes)
-I like Ohio Better Because Ceder Point their and i leik going thier

These are direct quotes from sophomores in High School and for just this one assignment

"There" spelled two different ways, and both wrong, in the same SENTENCE. Epic!

At least I think it's wrong since I can't really tell what they're saying.
