English fail at my wife's school

Wow.....just wow!! D:

I remember, when I was in 10th grade English, our teacher thought our skills were so bad, that he tossed the lesson plan and went back to basics. "This is a noun, this is a verb, this is an adjective....", etc. Spelling tests every Friday. I had 12th grade English skills by the time I was in junior high (7th grade), and was bored to tears!

But I swear, the English skills that forced that teacher to go back to the basics would probably pale in comparison to the utter and humiliating fail that the OP posted. My God, send those kids back to grammar school!! 🙄

Not surprised. When I was in High school there was little to no grammar or spelling. Read some story, i.e. Romeo and Juliet etc..., and answer some questions. 4 years of that.

I got more spelling/grammar from my Latin lang class.
