Just went last night...and suffice to say I was pretty dissapointed. The shrimp I got seemed like it was done half-assed. Like since this was all you can eat shrimp, red lobster cuts corners and doesn't make it as tasty.

Plus I can say that Red Lobster in general doesn't have much flavor compared to like pappaduexs. RL seems to just use Butter as their main flavoring ingredient.

But yeah it's $14.99 in TX.

So nobody knows if this is only on a certain night? Can I safely assume its Sunday night or is it Sunday night as well as another night? Or is it every night?

EDIT: They're website doesn't specify a day so I guess its every day right now. Which is weird because I know for a fact it was only on a certain night before I just can't remember which night it was. Guess its changed.

Yeah it sucks. It is a low priced dish and everyone wants it and I am constantly running my ass off trying to keep these tables refilled. The trick I've learned is to get the people to start off with the shrimp pasta. After a helping of that plus a salad, side, and some other kind of shrimp like scampi or something they are usually full so it might only be like 1 or 2 more refills. Serving sucks those, endless shrimp or not. :p
Question for you as a RL waiter... I go to RL but I'm not a seafood guy - I go for my wife... so I get the Garlic Chicken Alfredo. YUM. It rules all Alfredo I've had anywhere else, no lie. And for $10.99 for a FULL plate, you can't lose.

Do people order that dish as a non-seafood dish a lot ? Or is it just me being the freak that I am ?

That is my basis of tipping as well, sh!tty service gets you a sh!tty tip. Mine differs in the fact that I tip when they give "standard" service too, aka, their job.

I bet it's nice to have lots of money, no over-zealous ethical convictions, and not a care in the world ;)

Maybe you should go get a better paying job, or even a 2nd job. Isnt that what you said servers should do? If you cant afford to tip, shouldnt be eating out.

Im sure they would gladly lose the $1.27 tip that you usually leave just to crap in your food.

See, that's the type of ignorance that I despise. I CAN afford it. However, it's not required and anyone else who says differently can kiss my royal ass over it.

Tipping isn't mandatory. If it were, it would be included in the prices on the menu. Since it's not mandatory (which would be utterly ridiculous if it were), I choose to tip based on the level of service that I receive. If you do your job, you don't get a tip. Your job requires customer service. Customer service IS mandatory in your job. That's why it's a customer service job. If you do better than that, THEN you deserve a tip. You don't deserve a tip just because a customer physically exists in your serving section.
