He spun out over at "the site which shall not be named" a couple of years ago about U.S. "death camps." He basically got ridiculed so bad he left the site.

wow that's a....pretty high bar to pass compared to this one, lol.

In related news Post has started letting more people in on the beta and I've registered. In function it really is kind of an early Twitter clone. Certainly easier to use than Mastodon.
just checked my email and my invite came yesterday. thanks for the headsup

I mean he probably is… Clueless that is. Dude dont get it.

On a side note, at work, working with geeks and people are all over the political spectrum, though EVERYONE I’ve spoken to on the subject agrees that Musk has lost the plot. Once an idol in geek space now a disgraced clownshow - across the board.

The ignore button is there for a reason, push it.
Every now and then I clear my ignore list, and your new BFF here is always one of the first back on it.
Some folks feel empowered by the autonomy of forums, they get to be fearless and powerful without the risk of facing their adversary. Back in my day that was referred as being "chickenshit". A term that really does need to make a comeback.

I usually purge my ignore list when I start to sense there are extended angry arguments going on where both parties are on the list.

I very rarely put anyone on my ignore list, but this situation sounds like the perfect use of ignores. Skip the chaff.

I'm confused, you want to watch extended angry arguments?

I just put all the RWNJs that make a nuisance on ignore, and leave them their forever. Life is too short to waste time reading, let alone interact with the brain dead cultist screed.

Not only do they get to live in their offices, but now they get to clean them as well.

Fired Twitter cleaning staff 'treated like garbage' - BBC News

I wonder how those Tesla engineers brought over to try to save Twitter after Musk fired over 1/2 the employees will feel about having to scrub the toilets. (Not to disparage people who do that job, I spent 1 1/2 years working as a "chamber maid" so I know how damn hard of a job it is).

Posters aren't on it for just being the 'wrong' political team (a good many right-wing posters are not on my list), it's more that some posters seem just seem to say the same things over-and-over-again to the point where my eyes glaze over at their posts...or that they are excessively bombastic and aggressive over every issue, big or small, in a way that's kind of exhausting, even if I sometimes agree with them.

This is what it's all about. I have no issue with debate, but if all someone has to offer is personal insults or the ever popular "fuck off", there isn't any content. It's an annoyance.
If I ignored people because of political differences, I'd be talking to myself, I do to much of that already, so those folks don't get the finger.

Greenman, who likes debate but ignores simple questions and facts that counter his entrenched positions. That's rich. Lacks any self awareness
