Given all of the support that I've seen for Joffrion (D), it seems surprising that Brooks (R) is listed as a sure win for the northern AL district.

I think you may underestimate both his ego and how much he might depend on keeping the presidency (or keeping it as leverage) to avoid prosecution.

I can see him doing what you say but I think it will be in exchange for immunity or something like that, not that he's too unpopular.

You do get the sense that he knows his ass is grass the moment he's no longer President. That is, he'd likely spend his last years in court and possibly in prison.

I don't really expect it, but there are times when I wonder if we won't wake up in January 2021 (hopefully not 2025) to see the headline "Trump becomes first fugitive ex-President in US history." No presence at the inauguration ceremony, just word that he's fled to a country without a US extradition treaty.

If we didn’t go after Bush for war crimes, we ain’t going after Trump for crimes either. It’s impeach or nothing.

I’m not sure if people realize this but Trump was named in Michael Cohen’s guilty plea as a conspirator. If he were not the president he would be under indictment RIGHT NOW.

So all those ‘Hillary for prison’ people? Yeah. Trump would be on his way to prison right now if he could be indicted.

As I think I've said before while I don't have any good predictions outside of 538 what's going to be a real treasure is if the Democrats only win the popular vote by say 5 points or so (which would be a landslide for Republicans) and then we will get treated to endless statements of how the 'American people chose to return the Republicans to power'. That will be a treat.

We'll also be treated to endless control while Reps are out, just because of 5 people. That would be a treat.

We are in a cold civil war, this is just one battle, win or lose, the fight for this country's survival continues. I don't want to hear Democrats get complacent if they win, it's like taking a dose of antibiotic, feeling better, and stopping treatment too soon, and then the disease comes back in a resistant form. Conservatism and the Republican party need to be fully destroyed politically, not just given one defeat. Similarly I don't want to hear people give up if Democrats lose, we just have to suck it up and fight on.

Not likely, not now that Trump & the GOP have revealed their right wing reactionary agenda. They'll destroy what's left of middle class prosperity given their way.

The only prediction I will make is that I think the democrats will take every seat available in California including Hunters seat. I have little faith in the rest of this country.

Middle class doesn't deserve prosperity if it doesn't get rid of GOP.

Ill adjust me prediction : Dems wont take house, much less senate.
1. Trump is doing what he is doing with backing in what was once Cambridge Analytica, the campaign strategy is no coincidence, he is going over the top cause he has reason to believe it will work
2. The deck is stacked too hard against dems, voter suppression, corruption, gerrymandering.. Minority rule is there to stay, goodbye democracy, nice knowing you guys.

You're probably right about the rest of the country but here in CA democracy survives and you can watch us throw every last Republican bum out today. GOP has no power here in the land of Freedom and Sunshine. Other states (especially New York because they have the most opportunity to follow in our footsteps) should take note on how a state should be run: Without any conservative input.

I predict I'm not going to be glued to media galas tonight. I'll check it out before I go to sleep or in the AM. Not doing the rollercoaster other than peeking in on forums I'd visit anyway.

I'm going to predict at least in my area a bunch of liberals stayed home like the lazy fucks they are... Very rainy and windy today in SE Michigan and I really think that is going to hurt turnout...

“I just want to tell the voters there that on behalf of me and my staff, we’re sorry for the mix-up,” Barron said.

Well as long as they are sorry. Meanwhile I’ve seen reports from Georgia of many people abandoning their spots. Throwing ballots down in disgust and walking out due to the long delays.
Yup. make it close to impossible for people to vote and they get disgusted and leave. Dollars for donuts all of these "mistakes" were polling places in precincts with large minority populations, how the fuc* could this A-hole Kemp be still allowed to be in charge of elections WHILE running in said election. This should get to the supreme court, oh, wait, nevermind.

Turnout for both sides is going to break all records, not just for midterms but for all time.

I'm loving some of the early exit polls. I'm really hoping my optimism isn't unfounded but when faux has people thinking the country is heading in the wrong direction, 58-41, I feel better. Their scrambling is pathetically amusing.
