If we didn’t go after Bush for war crimes, we ain’t going after Trump for crimes either. It’s impeach or nothing.

When was the last time you heard of somebody being prosecuted for war crimes who wasn't some tin pot dictator?

"War crimes" = not real crimes

Unfortunately for Trump, the judicial branch has a long and storied history of prosecuting politicians for regular crimes. If he committed war crimes he would be much better off. He'd surely have better coverage on CNN

Just got back from a trip to the store, a precinct polling spot (from a large minority area) still had a MASSIVE live at 6:55 as I went past on my bike, we're talking about 3-400 people here, (central FL). 30% of the votes counted and Gillum is out in front 52%-48%. Dem Bill Nelson is also holding his ground 51%-49%, GO TEAM BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From the 538 live blog Donnelly (IN, Dem, Sen) is looking to be in trouble.

I voted today. Not many out in my area but it’s basically guaranteed red. The city I live in is fairly blue but the surrounding area puts it heavily red.

The first flip of the night has been called... Democrats pick up west Virginia 10th(?).

Republicans also kept a seat in Florida.

Sherrod brown keeps his seat.

Gallium now trailing DeSantis. Blue wave is cancelled. Welcome to Republican autocracy.

I'm ready to make my prediction: Democrats do not take the house. Democrats do not take the senate.

I'm not going to waste my time watching the bloodbath that is clearly about to unfold.

Haha, what a downer.

Come on Beto! Gillum and Nelson still have a decent shot at Florida.

I need Gillum to win. I have property in Florida and it will be worthless if DeSantis gets to continue destroying the environment down there. The beaches are already covered in dead fish from ag runoff.

Bad night for Dems?

The infamous NYT needle has dema at greater than 95% chance to win the house. 538 is more skeptical at about 70%.

A good night for Democratic governor candidates so far but a bad one for dem senators.

So, things seem pretty decent for them at the moment.

It looks like a great chance for the Dems to take the house, FL is toast, I'm beyond disappointed, Rick Scott's Co had to pay back Medicare $1.4 billion due to fraudulent claims and STILL the F-ing retards vote for this A-hole. Desantis had NO platform to run on, just 'I'll keep doing what Scott did" and being a huge Trump bootlicker. ugh.

NBC has just projected the Dems will take the house, Betta lost in TX so the senate is now out of reach.

So long as Dems control *something* so they can start the long slow course correction toward functional governance.

I don't doubt they'll screw it up with bad messaging and terrible optics, but there is a path forward here for America if the Dems walk away with the House tonight.

New prediction: American backlash against Democrats in 2020 for being too mean to Trump and Republicans.
