The more I play this game, the less I like it. From 1-50 the game is pretty easy, including the dungeons, but in the VR levels the lack of balance is glaring.
The first VR dungeons are so hard, that unless you have a guild of hardcore players, you are almost guaranteed to never finish one. I've done 5 groups so far, and not one of them could get past the second boss.
Adding insult to injury, it is very rare to get even a green item off a boss kill (regular and VR dungeons). Ninety-Nine percent of the time, you'll get a white item from all bosses in dungeons. If you want green/blue drops, you must open chests, and many players simply leave the fights to go open chests(guaranteed green item at least) and let their teammates die. Terrible mechanics.
PVP sucks with everyone having stealth. Every time I get ganked by an invisible glass cannon build, I imagine how badass I'd be in WoW if my Mage could have stealthed. In GW2, packs of gankers had some risk... once people saw them, they called them out, and others would go after them. This is impossible in ESO, because those players are only visible for seconds. With the huge map, there is no way any group is going to waste time trying to find invisible people over the two square miles between your base and the big battle. No risk at all for gankers.
Just seems like many of the mechanics were drawn up, and then implemented without any thought to balance. Whether it's dungeons, PVP, or even crafting; nothing ramps up the difficulty, but makes it jump all over the place.
So, I'm left with trying to finish VR dungeons (good luck) for the achievement; loot isn't a draw for dungeons because chances are every boss will drop a white item. I could do the same quests over and over; close portals, go talk to X, etc. Or I could not have fun in PVP.
Yea, I think I'm done.
