Question. I am assuming at some point putting points into stamina makes sense? I am only lvl 11 on my templar. But I have been going 2:1 magika\health. At some point does weapon damage come into play? Or are the class skills just that good?

I'm always curious in MMO's if people are listening to the quest dialogue or just skipping past it. I'm level 10 now and I've recently stopped listening to any of the quests except the main one. And even then I'm picking my spots.

I did in DAoC, through level 50 in WoW and again in SWTOR. With this game, the story is so boring that I just click away and go fight.

I kind of skim through the text, and have an idea of what the quest is about. However I don't listen to everything

The lore books (what do they do?) I don't read at all. As for the bookshelf I open each one because of the chance of a random skill point but I never read the books.

I'm enjoying the game though. Feels very Elder Scrolls like to me.

Yah i skip a lot of text, i'm sure lore people LOVE it. I do read text, some of the random notes in the game are pretty funny.

I really HATE the quickslot ability. Is it just me or you can't bind keys with Shift? I want to put Shift 1 for it but won't do multiple keys. :/

However I find so many bots at bosses today I could not even report them because so clumped together. I estimate maybe 30 bots on one boss mob, all with crazy names as usual. Why don't they have active GM that can just summon and ban these accounts right away? It makes no sense, you don't have to investigate this shit.

I was wondering the same things. If your name is a short string of lowercase letters, you clump around a boss and start swing fractions of a second before it pops then you are probably a bot farmer. Also notice how if you train a group of mobs onto them, they instantly turn and react.

Do they even have active GM? I remember older games (DAOC) a gm could appear as a glowing light and do such things for you. I remember being stuck and /stuck would not work and be teleported me out of the area, but accidently in wrong side of realm. rofl.

I saw one at a known buggy quest site once. I assume he was there either doing something to keep the quest from bugging out or just monitoring it to make sure it was functioning (was right after a patch that was supposed to fix it). Looked like a normal player but with one of those purplish ethereal glows you see on some spirit mobs.

I can't believe I just found out about the infinite dupe bug today http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertc...e-hit-with-first-major-bug-the-infinite-dupe/ Nice job, Zenimax. Apparently it was reported during beta but was ignored. The economy has several billion gold floating around and tons of rare mats for making veteran armor.

I heard rumors of a rollback and even one about re-relasing the game. I'm level 40 and not sure if I should just stop for a while and wait for what they do or not.

This is pretty sad :(

EDIT: apparently there are two new dupe bugs involving hirelings http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/eld...neral/471855-new-hireling-item-mail-dupe.html This is crazy.

Please stop the over dramatization.

First of all there is no re-release, no rollback. Secondly all the people duping and in the chain got banned and items removed. All MMOs got these bugs and issues. And no, its not flooded with rare materials. All items are traceable.

I am VR5 now.

I'm level 11 but I still don't have a helmet or shoulder armor, the vendors in the Aldmeri city has these pieces but at level 18+, am I missing something? I see plenty of other people running around with these armor pieces, are they simply higher level?

Yah you get them around 15ish i think. Quests give them mostly.

About the dupe bug, i don't think a MMO exists that did not have one at start. Its not like it matters much anyone since trading is non-existent in this game.

The more I play this game, the less I like it. From 1-50 the game is pretty easy, including the dungeons, but in the VR levels the lack of balance is glaring.

The first VR dungeons are so hard, that unless you have a guild of hardcore players, you are almost guaranteed to never finish one. I've done 5 groups so far, and not one of them could get past the second boss.

Adding insult to injury, it is very rare to get even a green item off a boss kill (regular and VR dungeons). Ninety-Nine percent of the time, you'll get a white item from all bosses in dungeons. If you want green/blue drops, you must open chests, and many players simply leave the fights to go open chests(guaranteed green item at least) and let their teammates die. Terrible mechanics.

PVP sucks with everyone having stealth. Every time I get ganked by an invisible glass cannon build, I imagine how badass I'd be in WoW if my Mage could have stealthed. In GW2, packs of gankers had some risk... once people saw them, they called them out, and others would go after them. This is impossible in ESO, because those players are only visible for seconds. With the huge map, there is no way any group is going to waste time trying to find invisible people over the two square miles between your base and the big battle. No risk at all for gankers.

Just seems like many of the mechanics were drawn up, and then implemented without any thought to balance. Whether it's dungeons, PVP, or even crafting; nothing ramps up the difficulty, but makes it jump all over the place.

So, I'm left with trying to finish VR dungeons (good luck) for the achievement; loot isn't a draw for dungeons because chances are every boss will drop a white item. I could do the same quests over and over; close portals, go talk to X, etc. Or I could not have fun in PVP.

Yea, I think I'm done.

WoW never had a dupe bug... dupe bugs are a death knell for MMOs; they're the one thing devs better make damn sure aren't in their game... I'm sure they deleted some of the largest pots of dupes, but the damage has been done with laundered and re-laundered gold and items.

Why don't you just make one? Blacksmithing is available in most cities and all you need is some iron ore. You can make a basic helmet from pretty much level 1 of blacksmithing.

I'm literally amazed that they ever thought this was a good idea.

Craft your own. I run around at lvl 6 with a full set.

I've basically stopped questing around lvl 25, it was just too slow and tedious and it's been done before, actually happy at how viable aoe grinding is even on my templar.

So I'm holding around 70k gold I think. I have like 5 legendary blacksmith tempers, and other items that people want.

I am quitting my sub, so if anyone here would like the 'good' stuff I've collected, I'd rather one of you guys have it, than it disappearing into a kind of Bitcoin like netherworld.

I'll log on tomorrow night, around 8-9PM EST. Character is Hak Kal, account name is hak_9. I'll stick around for an hour or so, and give away my gold and items. Please only ask/msg me if you plan on playing for a while... your experience may be different and you may love this game.

Just say 'fishes taste great', and I'll know it's someone that reads these forums. First come first served.

I enjoy the game, just lots of "what ifs" still, all depends on how they push it after release. I don't mind paying a measly $15 a month if they provide some real content/bug fixes.
the only fault daoc can be accused of is that over time it was made easier, and we're talking about a lot of time anyway. i played it until labyrinth of the minotaur, well into easy mode, and it was still very enjoyable.

solo vamp RR 5.2 , IP, MoP, Charge, purge 2; trolling noobs exping in alb frontiers.

I don't think that's the only fault, personally. They made the game overly complex with ToA, and nobody that I know liked New Frontiers, either.
