This is exactly what I want to see in a tv show about a zombie apocalypse.

40 min talking, crying, and getting no where
1 min of a girl pissing
2 min of anything actually interesting

The only thing that has changed between where we started this episode and where we start next episode is the pregnancy.

Are they going to spend a whole bleeping season looking for the girl? Talk about dragging a story out.

Another episode where nothing happens. Still haven't found that fucking little girl, so that drags on another episode. We get a zombie show with one damn zombie the entire episode.

Only exciting part was them sending Glen down that well, which was completely retarded in the first place. Why on earth would they do that?

At least Glen got laid.

I can't imagine anyone ever wanting to drink out of that well again, even if they got the zombie out in one piece.

Is there any information on number of viewers for the past few shows? I'm thinking it's in decline vs last season, but I'm not sure.

It's actually up. The premiere totaled over 7.3 million and has been holding steady at around 6 million as of last week's episode from what I can find. Too early to say about last night. First season's peak was the premiere with 6 mil (these aren't including the encore).

Anyone know what the season order for number of episodes is?

I know Mad Men caused all other shows to have their budgets raped, but come on, I didn't complain much for the first few episodes, but this one is just setting a damn trend...

13 episodes for this season.

Still way early to call the season/show terrible. People seem too used to the movie format, all I hear is whining when they aren't killing zombies every five minutes in the show. The focus on character plots was said from the get-go, don't know why this is so shocking to many people.

I did not like the reasoning:

"Well if he hasn't contaminated it, shooting him certainly would!"

Um, what about all those leeching wounds all over his body? All the blood? Spit? (they bite and you get the disease, so where does it hide? In their fillings?).

BS reasoning.

Also, if the pharm is only a mile down the road, why the horses? You think they will have THAN much to carry? And the asian dude does not know what the hell a preggo test is called?

They are taking too much time to do everything in this. I can understand that this is not a zombie-fest slayers marathon, but there is only so much you can "develop" before all you are left with is a blank photo.

That would be fine if the writing wasn't half-assed, the characters weren't boring, and something was happening besides dragging out the search for girl that no viewers give two shits about.

The writing, plots and characters just aren't strong enough to make up for the lack of zombies and action. I keep watching every week though hoping that is going to change.

I forget, are we allowed to talk about hints given in the end-of-show previews?

I'm OK with the development and slow pace if it eventually leads to a big payoff in the plot. Maybe I just have a better attention span than other viewers.

Fuck focusing on the characters! These characters are idiots! There are a million other shows on tv that can focus on the characters. I want the one zombie show to focus on the god damn zombies, dammit!!!

The entire series is about the characters, as is the comic series. It's about making a life in an entirely new, alien world. The zombie threat is always there, but not always in the way you'd think. I actually find the approach refreshing.
