Long term the show is still screwed.

Why does this show have to be mindnumbingly boring for like 43 minutes, and then 1 minute of something interesting?
Yep.Budget. That 1 minute costs more than the 43 minutes of boring shit.
On the other hand, the 43 minutes wouldn't be so boring if the writing was better. Not to say the writing is horrible in this show, but most of the character development scenes leave a lot to be desired.
Something is horribly wrong when Darryl is becoming one of the more likable characters.
I love this show. Most people hate Shane, but I think he did what he had to do. I have a feeling that Otis will show up with Shane's hair on his hand, which could stir up the group.

Yep.
I thought during the running of the first season that they didn't want the zombies to be the main focus of the series. They wanted to focus on the characters trials and tribulations during this event. Which is fine but they just need to do a better job of doing it so it's not a snooze fest.
So is the black guy. All his character does is get injured and fuck things up. I wish the show didn't have a set in stone cast. The old guy is annoying as shit. A nagging old hag.
That crying dike-haircut mom is annoying as shit too. AND utterly useless.
crossbow guy is the only one i like.
Two weeks at most I think. They didn't stay long in the woods once the Asian guy came back with the car. They stayed a couple of days, if that, at the facility. They've been looking for the girl for like two or three days.(Note: I have not watched last nights episode yet.)
I wonder if/when his one-handed brother is going to show up and how pissed is he going to be?
On the show, how many days have passed since the brother disappeared?

The scene in which she cried until someone went to look for her kid was so aggravating. She wants other people to risk their lives to go look for her kid but she won't go looking by herself. It started getting dark after last night's episode.
The only character I really don't like in the series is Carol (Melissa McBride) because as Zeze said, she's utterly useless. The ultrasubmissiveness just makes her dead weight. It's like Darabont completely transplanted her character from The Mist and they're still running with it. At least the other significant characters have some development.
