They need to find a way to turn this from drama into something more akin to Shaun of the Dead.

Seriously, they could have saved this show by having Shane and the fat guy bust out into the zombie dance from Thriller.

this was the last episode of this show i will be watching. it is just so boring and slow with absolutely no plot development.

OH WOW NOW SHE IS PREGNANT WITH SHANES BABY WOW, CANT WAIT TO SEE MORE ABOUT THE LOVE TRIANGLE!!!

fuck this show
FWIW, a similar situation happens in the comics as well.

However,
Shane got pissed at Rick (over jealousy with Lori) and points a gun at him. Carl shoots and kills him to protect his dad. This all happened before they ever reach the farm.

I've been finding myself surfing the internet throughout the majority of the past few episodes, which definitely does not bode well for the series' ability to hold my attention anymore.

I think it's about time for the show to change names to more accurately reflect content: "The Wish You Were Dead" or "Little Girl... Where are You?" would both suffice.

I have been thinking about the group's transportation. As far as I can tell, none of their vehicles have GPS. That got me thinking.

So, I asked my bro-in-law who sort of works with GPS systems. It appears that the GPS system would remain working for a pretty long time, as much as years, even if all the controls on the Earth were no longer working. The biggest problem would be the satellites slipping out of their orbits and no one being around to adjust them.

I would think that a few of those cars on the highway would have either built in or, even better, a portable GPS that may come in handy some time in the future, no?

Without the Naval Observatory to update the satellite almanac and ephemera the system would steadily lose accuracy then just stop functioning when the data set expired. I don't know how large the current data set for each satellite is, so I can't even speculate on how long the system would work.

Is it possible that they're trying to avoid catching up to the comic? I haven't read it, so I'm not sure how far along it is. It does sound like they're changing a few plot points (based on what I've spoiled for myself in the spoiler tags :p), and that's usually not a good sign.

nothing's happening...nothing's happening...nothing's happening...nothing's happening...season's over. A lot of people look pissed.

Edit: This season may end up rivaling season 2 of Heroes for the encore season I'm most disappointed with. I haven't minded this season a lot, but nothing's really...ya know...happening. If it's going to be even another couple episodes in this area looking for the damn girl....ugh

The comic is on issue 90, the show is at issue 10. They've even skipped about half the comics. They skipped over Tyreese, someone who joins them. They also skipped over the gated suburban community. Then they drag issue 10 out over four or more episodes.

I don't think they have any kind of plan at all.

I vote for legless, thong, chick zombie next.

They should have never gotten rid of Frank Darabont. The guy made one of the best movies of all time when he made the Shawshank Redemption. Yeah, I know it was Stephen King's work, but the way that movie was made is what made it that much more awesome.

You're asking too much from a zombie flick series.

Another issue is that GPS use would run counter to a major subtext of the Zombie Apocalypse, which is the Redneck Ascendancy. Any white collar fool can run a GPS while map reading and navigation is another skill of the Redneck/Blue Collar Hero who comes into his own when SHTF.

I don't get you guys. Alot has happened

Carl got shot/better

Glen and Maggie hook up (yay, I was looking forward to this)

Rick and Herschel begin to setup shop. A memorable relationship from the comic storyline. THe actor that plays Herschel is genius. His line "Some men do not earn the love of their sons" was so well delivered, clearly one of the best lines of the show.

The "swimmer" zombie.... seriously.

More of Glen and Darryl being badass.

And finally Lori is preggers...and who is the daddy? The way Shane is behaving, this is setting up to be a hell of a beat down between Rick and Shane.

the pace was slow, but the storylines continue to evolve. I'm still hooked.

You guys whine a lot. Show is still entertaining. It has plot holes and some boring parts but I enjoy every episode.

It's about wowing the audience. Pouring zombie guts into one of the wells only makes us say "HUH? did that contaminate all of the ground water?". Sara Tancredi lost some like-ability by being pregnant.

wtf is a GPS going to do anyways? why was that even brought up? it's not like they are lost or a GPS would say where zombie traffic is so they should avoid it.

I was similarly baffled by the GPS conversation.

where did all the military guns go? See tons of dead soldiers but none have any guns. No one even has a semi-auto rifle, it's all shotguns and pistols and bolt rifles.

 Let's hope this series doesn't suffer from the same season-to-season quality degradation.

Even if his unit is being overrun by the living dead, no commander is going to let those sensitive items go unaccounted for. :p

why did the pregnant wife hold the knife out like she was going to kill someone when she went to go piss on the pregnancy strip? Made no sense. I first thought suicide, then maybe she would hold it up to the shanes throat.

the swimmer zombie was kind of entertaining, totally reminded me of Evil Dead / Army of Darkness

anyway, last episode was a total fluff waste. Reminds me of an entire season of dragonballz where it took 5 episodes to get through one fight, and most episodes were just jaw dropped grunting and gasping noises

It was poor direction and blocking.

Thats funny because I've been thinking the exact opposite. The personality may be spot on from what you know, I don't read comicbooks so I wouldn't know. What I do know is that this guy is annoying as hell and everything he says is cheesy as hell.
