If you can get past the looks, I highly recommend a brand new Scion xB.
Only $14k, TONS of backseat space, decent gas mileage.
The only downfall is the rather weak 1.6 engine that puts out only 109 hp so you may want the 5 speed.

As already stated, a 1 year old Honda is the worst buy you can make, next to a 1 year old Toyota.

On another note, about my olds. What are the symptoms of a cracked block or maybe a blown head gasket. I have looked aroudn for them, and some can be the same, others are differant. My oil looks fine, so i don't think the collant is mixing with the oil. The cooling system builds pressure almost instantly after starting the car, and most fo the time will continue to build and start forcing water out of the overflow container. I just now noticed that after the cars has been run for a while ther is water spitting out of the lower front part of the egine. I can't say where exactly, since I don't have a very good view of it. It may not even be coming from the engine itself, but it appears to be. I am pretty sure I know where the heads/head gasket are, and its not coming from there.

The car seems to sputter at low speeds and idle, but yesterday I had it on the highway at 65mph and it seemed to run great. I do notice some white smoke from the exhaust, but not continuously, only for a short time after start up. And I don't even want to say 100% that its smoke, it could be steam. I don't know. Any help?

Not a fan of the scions looks, edmunds says it has a 1.5L engine, not 1.6, and the back seat in it is way smaller then my maxima. So other then the price, i don't think its a very good fit for us. Plus my fiancee can't drive a stick, and I don't think I want her to drive one anyway.

You're right, it's a 1.5 and the back seat has twice as much leg room as your Maxima.

We just paid $15,800 for an 04 MPV with 15,200 miles and it's got tons of warranty left on it. It's got far more cargo capacity than a CRV could even dream of having.
