Christ, you could have gotten SO MUCH PC for less than that! You are such a typical Mac hype swallower, I'd be embarrassed to death if I were your dad!

Have you ever even used a Mac?? You sound like a Windows hype swallower.
I've used a Mac. I just can't get into them. No offense to people, but the interface seems a bit "fruity" or "metrosexual" to me. I just don't like it. Too artsy and flamboyant.

Apple does a great job advertising and catering to a very specific market. The problem is that I hate just about all of their commercials and products. Everything seems to have a "fruity" quality to them that I just find weird and awkward. That's probably that same thing that draws some people to them.
Just as pink T-shirts and popped collars appeals to some guys, it strongly turns others off. Apple is the pink T-shirt/popped collar crowd.

1. Is your hardware overheating?
2. Do you have malware?
3. Are you having driver problems?

Agreed. This is whole "Windows is teh unstable!" argument is way overblown with regards to XP, and you usually see it overused by Linux/Mac fanatics. The one time my current PC has BSODed, it was the very first day I got it and it was due to the idiots @ Dell and their crap initial system config program. Hasn't crashed once since and I keep it running whenever I'm not asleep. I haven't had problems with XP on any of my other rigs either.
Win2K on the other hand, oh god don't get me started. Back when I used that, it'd be a good day when it would boot up without a BSOD due to some hardware driver problem. And WinME, that's chapter in MS history I'm sure they'd like to forget. XP has come a long way since. Vista...well I'm not a beta tester, so I can't really speak to that.

I presented good information back a page or two, but I guess no one here is interested in that.![]()
Anyway, with heavy use, my workstation at work gets about 12 days between reboots. Its a very solid workstation class machine from a well know vendor. )
hehe, and when you underclock it, it will even perform like the mac :laugh:Originally posted by: 91TTZ
You can underclock an CPU to get the wattage down considerably. You'd be surprised by how low the wattage gets when you lower the voltage and underclock.
