I'm buying guns and then donating the rest to the church.

But seriously, I'm going to use the money to pay off the last of my non-house debt. Then I'm going to cancel my credit cards and live debt free. (Except the house payment).

Off topic, but don't cancel your cards. Just cut them up if you so desire. Canceling will be bad for your credit.

I don't qualify. Enjoy my money, folks.

Same here. Argh!!!

Most of us paid more than $600 in taxes this past year. We are only getting a percentage of our own money back. We are not getting any of yours.

That money was already used on government services, your share of defense budget, etc.
It's not like there was money left over for rebate, since government was already in a big deficit. The point is people like me who pay most in taxes aren't getting any refund, but will be paying more to pay off the debt created to pay for this stimulus. So yes, you are getting some of my money, enjoy it.

So how much do you make at year moneybags? You seem to be pretty upset that you aren't seeing $600.

Most of it will probably go into maintenance for my '96 Ford Explorer.

Balance will go towards a bbq grill, as my went out over the winter.

Anything left will go into savings, except for the bit we spend on a really nice dinner.

And I paid more in taxes than anyone getting a tax rebate, where's mine?

Duh, you should try making LESS money. You wouldn't have to pay so much in taxes, and you'd get a rebate. Seems simple enough to me.

I am going to use it to pay education expenses for my kids, so, really, my kids are robbing from me, right?

I am not upset about the money so much as it being called a tax rebate when in fact it's just a handout that is financed by borrowing. Tax rebates implies that people getting it overpaid in taxes, which is not the case.
If you follow my politics on P&N, I am a big proponent of progressive taxation, even if it hurts me. I would be for removing SS cap for example, even though I don't pay SS taxes all year.
