If it ends up working like it is intended to then you will be thanking us for spending it. I'm not claiming that it will or won't mind you, but there is nothing wrong with hoping for the best. What else are we going to do at this point? It's not like anyone is going to convince the govt. to not send out the checks.

Did you complain when Bush's first tax cuts helped you more than it did the poor? I though it was satisfying enough having a large paycheck? Maybe someday I'll make it up to your level so then I can complain about money more often.

No kidding. It's not like he was going to see any of the money back if the govt. decided not to send out the checks. At least they are trying to fix things for all of us including the rich. None of us are in a good position right now even if we do quality for the stimulus.

That is not it's intention. You know what the real purpose is intended to be whether you predict that it will be successful or not. By the way, how are your investments and retirement plans doing? I for one would like to see mine doing better. I imagine that the rich would like to see their stocks start to climb as well.

Most of us paid more than $600 in taxes this past year. We are only getting a percentage of our own money back. We are not getting any of yours.

I don't think so. I believe that letter was only intended to be informative about the details of how things were going to work.

Doing some math, if the government does 7.4 million people a week, it would take 17.5 weeks to pay all 130 million people that file for taxes.
