Remember when Dallas barely lost to a Steelers team that had Duce Staley, or when they didn't need OT to beat the Browns?

The Eagles play has faltered the last few weeks, you can't deny that at all. They barely beat a Ravens team, with a horrendous offense minus its best 3 players. They got absolutely dominated by the Steelers.

I hope you're ready. T.O. might be a big man, but no safety in this league hits like Roy Williams, and you know he's gonna be hungry.

i find this crap so bizarre. who are you talking to? if it is the eagles, then reality check, they have much more important things to do than sit on their ass talking junk on a message board. if you are talking to an eagles fan, get ready to what? buy some beers and sit in front of the couch and yell and cheer at a tv screen? yes, you better come prepared with some doritos and a nice beer gut!

Ok, if you want to be a jackass, I'll just rip your argument apart.

Look at this way. From a fan's perspective, I hope you're ready to see your MVP candidate get hurt. I don't think any fan wants to see their star player get injured, do you?

Sorry, you lose, play again?

Did you watch the games?

The Dallas-Vikings game was NOT as mismatched as the score was, neither was teh Eagles-Vikings.
The Clevland game, the Eagles needed overtime, remember that?
I already said the Giants were the exception. Without that, it becomes -5-7, a bit closer.

You can play that game, but if you watched all those games(which I did), you'd know better.

why do you use alternate realities to support your arguments? the games were played and the outcomes are final. if i argued like you i'd bring up the fact that the eagles shouldn't have even gone to OT with cleveland because the ONLY reason cleveland scored was because of a phantom roughing the passer call on 4th down.

you're the one who brought up the common opponents thing, don't try to turn it around by saying "you can play that game"

Didn't seem like a 'phantom' call to me.

The reality is sports is, the score judges win/loss and thats it. The score is not always an accurate judge of how close the game was, when you're referring to the quality of play of both teams over the entire game. Anyone who knows anything would tell you that.

Yes, I did bring up the common opponents, and the Giants weren't even in my compairson, because my comparison was teams played in opposite locations.

You also have to factor in so many other things than just a few numbers in the books. The Giants are a much better team than they were week 1, you can't deny that. The Eagles are not as good a team as they were week 1, you can't deny that either.

The simple fact of the matter is the Eagles are playing like sh!t lately, Dallas if off and on, but the game is being played in Dallas, so you can't say it will be a blowout, and you have to admit that Dallas might win. So is the NFL.

Well if you're going to disregard the Giants, then we should be able to disregard the Steelers too. Either way, if you're going to talk about how the teams fared against common opponents, you don;t get to pick and choose which oppenents you look at & pick the ones that help your argument only. Sure individual scores can be misleading, but a 42 point differential is no fluke.

anything is possible, but I don't a loss happening against Dallas and their "stupid" players. Andy Reid is 15-2 the week after a loss.

Well, the reason I said the Giants were an exception was because my theory is that both teams are much better at home than they are away. That is what I was comparing, not their complete common opponents record.

Ok ok Dallas sucked it up at home against the Giants, but you could also make the case that it was 5 weeks difference, and the Giants have certainly been playing better as time goes on.

I'm not trying to say Dallas is a better team or has played a better season. I'm saying Dallas has a chance to win this game.

If its any consolation I'm watching the game w/ a hot girl...we're gonna be at each others throats though lol

You thought they were pissed after losing to the Steelers...how are they gonna feel after losing to the Cowboys???

How would you feel if TO runs to the star again???!

If he does that, then he's just unoriginal. I bet it hurt when George Teague nailed him last time he did it. There is a new FS wearing #31, and he hits a whole lot harder than Teague.

That said, Owens ain't seein the end zone anyway!

He's going to be awfully hard to cover in short yardage situations, Roy can't cover the whole field!!

Dallas loses this game and they pretty much lose their bid to make the playoffs, much like the Skins did yesterday falling to 3-6

They will probably change their covering scheme and have Newman play man on Owens most of the game. Newman hasn't had a great season, but he's pulled it together a little bit in the past 2 weeks, and he did a pretty good job against Moss in week 1. I'd be more worried about Pinkston, considering Hunter and Williams are both still hurting, meaing 7th-round draft pick rookie Lance Fraiser will be starting on the other side.

Yup, Iggles Wideouts will present some problems. Any news on Westbrook's condition? How will Vinny and Dallas RB do vs Philly D?

Last I heard Westbrook is listed as probable, that he will play but is not 100%. Probably 10-15 carries. You can never predict what the Dallas offense will do. One day Vinny looks great, the next he is awful. The passing game should show improvement as the rookies playing in place of the injured Glenn and Morgan get more experience, but expect a healthy dose of Witten and Keyshawn. The running game will hurt, and will continue to hurt, until Jones returns. The key for Dallas will be controlling the clock and keeping Philly's offense off the field, which means running the ball.

Yup, we'll see if Trotter can stop the run like the media's been hyping all week. Who is Dallas's RB anyway?

The starting RB is Eddie George. He shares carries with Richie Anderson and Rashard Lee. It should be Julius Jones...had he not broken his scapula. Lee has actually shown the best runs of those 3 guys, but he is young and Parcells doesn't trust him on pass coverage. Thus, they can only give him limited carries, cuz the other teams knows if he's in the game he's gettin the ball.

Yes, Smith is listed as Questionable. This is a definitely a big plus for Dallas...Chad Lewis is not as much of a threat, which means linebackers can be used for blitzing more often.

i'm undefeated in my fantasy league and am down 20 points with mcnabb and akers still to play tonight. those bastards better come through. 😀

Ok, so George isn't hurt then.

BTW, after Tuna loses this game his new official name will be TUNA SALAD. Jerry will have his head on a platter after this horrendous season, maybe even put the blimp on a diet.

woah woah woah, and Eagles fan making fun of a head coach for being fat? wow.

You can hardly blame Parcells for the way this season has gone. Injuries have been ridiclous, something like 12 starters are currently out. Not to mention the starting QB was released for 'outside reasons'.
