Back to football.

I personally can't wait to see Roy Williams lay the hurt on some of these Eagles. The already-battered Westbrook will feel the pain...and T.O. had better stick to corner and out routes, cuz if he comes across the middle...things be getting ugly when #31 sees you.

Brian Dawkins will more than return the favor...

There's a difference between inserting a personal shot in with my comments on football, and you forgetting that this thread is even about football. My first post to you in this thread was clearly seen as the rest of the world as a lighthearted jab, but it seems to have broken your fragile psyche and caused you to stumble into a world of personal hatred and loathing. Its cool though, when your team hasn't been to a Superbowl in 24 years, and has never won one, it tends to get to people.

Sampson, I'll deal with YOU in neochat 😛
What, if dealing with me is getting owned left and right then having to clean up my spunk then sure I'm up for it! 😉

Westbrook better sit for a few games, I want him as close to 100% as possible for the home stretch.

And TO will keep going over the middle like he's always done. If ray lewis didn't stop him from doing that, I doubt roy williams will.

Psh, Dawkins....he's still good, and thanks to his experience has more cover skills than Williams...but Roy is the wave of the future, and he rocks them like no other.

Dawkins doesn't make the WRs fear the slant like Williams. :evil: wuhahaha!!!

Between TO, Chad Lewis and LJ Smith, most of the receptions will probably be over the middle. I think Andy Reids strategy might be to get Roy Williams to give himself a concussion through repeated blows... 😛

heh...maybe a solid plan cuz if Williams goes down so does the defense...but is he willing to sacrifice that many bodies to make that happen 😀

Williams won't be effective b/c Dallas doesn't have the CB's to contain Philly's passing game... Williams will be there to prevent the deep ball and the short gain from becoming a monster gain, and that is all. McNabb spreads the ball around too much for Williams to focus on any one receiver as well.

If Newman remembers how to play, he can hang with the best of them. If Tyrone Williams is back, he is capable of covering Stinkston. Williams will lay the pain, that is the only constant in Cowboys games these days.

HAHA, you mean the 5 minutes he threw 3 pics? Does that include the strip and the REALLY bad intentional downing call he got for 16 yds? That's 4 turnovers on Vinny, if your counting. I won't count the missed 4th and inches play he couldn't convert, if anything that was the line's fault. Maybe we should make that 10 minutes. Vinny is ok, just not up to snuff. I mean sheesh, he turns 41, in a day or so... Sure we need a running game, but you HAVE to have a good QB first. What good is an all running team? What all running team won the superbowl, or even their division?

What happened to the D? 1st last year, now we are swiss cheese... 🙁

Ravens won the superbowl with TRENT DILFER. Bucs won the bowl with BRAD JOHNSON. Those are the only 2 I can think of off the top of my head. A qb is important, but a secondary is my main concern right now. Terrence Newman has been a bust, I don't even know who we are starting at the other corner now. Woodson's out and Williams is our only decent player in the secondary. (But he is a fricken awesome player!)

Nice one Kev.

Did you know Tony Dorsett sells boner pills? I can't believe Tony Dorsett wants men to have big hard boners. Do you think that Tony Dorsett is a big believer in boners? Tony Dorsett must really like men to be travelling around the country advocating big hard johnsons, eh?

Do you think he's a fan of guys named Rod Johnson?

If he moved to China I bet he'd make his chinese name Wang Long.

This would be a lot more fun if the Cowboys didn't suck so much that all their fans are afraid of posting...

haha, woah, did he just say I'm afraid to post? That's sillyness.

Haha, at least the Cowboys have prolific enough ex-players to be approached by big-name companies for advertising. You don't see Randall Cunningham doing any ads.

How's this for a cute stat:
Philly 3- Pittsburgh 27
Dallas 20-Pittsburgh 24(on a freak fumble with 2 minutes left I might add)

Numbers aside, against common opponents, they have performed pretty similar. Plus, a heated rivalry can always go either way. Look at Cowboys-Redskins over the past 6 or 7 years, Redskins have almost always had the better team, but dallas is something ridiculous like 13-1 over that span.

Besides, Dallas has Parcells, a coach that knows how to make gametime decisions. Don't get me wrong, Reid is a great preparation coach, but when it comes to gametime, he is subpar.

Nah - I didn't say you were afraid to post, but you sure are lonely in here...

Speaking of streaks, The eagles are 7-1 vs. the Cowboys since 2000

Eagles vs. Minnesota - Eagles Won 27-16
Cowboys vs. Minnesota - Cowboys Lost 17-35

Eagles vs. N.Y. Giants - Eagles Won 31-17
Cowboys vs. N.Y. Giants - Cowboys Lost 10-26

Two decisive Eagle victories over 2 opponents who decisively defeated the Cowboys 😉

Game is in Dallas so it could be a good game...

The Giants game is the only exception to this trend so far.

Dallas played Cleveland and Pittsburgh at home, fared much better than the Eagles, who played them on the road..
The Eagles played The Vikings at home and fared much better than the Cowboys, who played them away.

They both played the Lions at home, and crushed them.

Both teams have been much better home teams than away this year. This game is being played in Dallas. It will be interesting.

Here's a breakdown of your worthless "common opponents" nonsense.

Team & point differences:

Cowboys
-------

@Minny: -18
Cle +7
Giants: -16
Pitt: -4
Det: +10
-21

Eagles
------
Giants: +14
Minny: +11
@Detroit: +17
@Cle: +3
@Pitt: -24
+21

The Eagles are +42 against common opponents, even with the atrocity we witnessed last week, and having 2 more away games than dallas. So please, enough already. And don't try to tell me that the Minnesota 29 point swing is only because we got them at home.

Did you watch the games?

The Dallas-Vikings game was NOT as mismatched as the score was, neither was teh Eagles-Vikings.
The Clevland game, the Eagles needed overtime, remember that?
I already said the Giants were the exception. Without that, it becomes -5-7, a bit closer.

You can play that game, but if you watched all those games(which I did), you'd know better.
