As I mentioned above, I believe they were done with the "exclusive" part by the time it was announced. Highly unlikely. But, we'll have to wait and see.

I know this is kinda an off-topic question...but how many 360's has MS sold now? Are they finally making decent money? I'm really impressed with how much resources they've put behind the 360 to make it what it is now.

No...MGS: Rising is coming to 360. It's probably coming to PS3 as well, as they've always had Playstation as their main console/handheld. That, and this was announced after the "exclusive" section of the conference, if I'm correct.

This is not the first time a MGS game has been brought over to another console.

Overall, I thought the conference was OK. Natal could be OK, but overall just seemed like a cool tech gimmick for now (similar to the Wiimote, which I still feel).

And that virtual boy...I thought that was just plain stupid and creepy.

No it seems that it is an exclusive. Whatever his name was noted that from this point on everything is only going to be xbox 360. It would make no sense to then bring in Don and have the MGS game to be not xbox 360 only.

I believe it is. It was in the set of videos/demos where they said all the games you are seeing from this point forward will be exclusive to the 360.

Over 30 million last I heard. The games and entertainment division was making money prior to last quarter when the recession really started to hit.

I don't know obviously. but he said "from this point on, everything you?ll see ? every single game, demo and experience -- will be available only on Xbox 360."

So it has already outpaced the original Xbox then right...will be interesting how the next set of hardware plays out. I wish I had more time to play these games...I remember eating up every new release when the 360 first came out.

Not sure what you're getting at with this question? I play games. I also own stocks of various companies? What the heck is WGAS?

I'm getting at the fact that gamers and consumers don't give a shit about the numbers that a company's CEO cares about. I want to see new games, technological innovations and products that I can purchase and enjoy. Numbers are for the suits that preside of the company. It's something that Sony hasn't yet learned and MS digged at in their keynote.

Because some people are interested in units sold? Does he need a reason? It was a straight forward question...doesn't matter why he asked.

Apparently some gamers do care. The more units sold the more likely you are to see said "new technologies."

The Xbox sold about 20 million so the 360 has a higher number, although pace I'm not so sure about (although the ASP is higher for the 360).

Yes...not showing the numbers is the correct thing to do...and the fact that MS is doing so well with this console has a lot to do with why they decided not to do that...they are showing a level of confidence. That being said, my interest was solely because I'm impressed by how much MS is investing in the 360 and was curious just how much of an audience these technologies/services potentially have.

So, that Milo thing was creepy as hell, but I see really cool potential for it. Could you imagine a giant game, like fable, or oblivion, where each character in the world had the milo AI? and could recognize you and talk to to you in person? That's pretty awesome

Man, I must be getting old. The only thing to grab me was MGS:Rising, and L4D2. I have a hard time thinking that camera thing is going to be anything more than a gimmick, if it ever comes to pass at all.

Is it just wrong that I'm more interested in Project Natal as a shiny new, Minority Report way of controlling Media Center than for its gaming potential? ALL of the game demos they showed seemed as gimmicky as the Wii's motion controls (i.e., fun the first 30 minutes and then mind-numbingly repetitive thereafter in most games), and my living room doesn't have nearly enough space to pull off most of those moves.
