Dook Sucks.

Name me a Coach K coaching disciple or player who has succeeded at the next level. I give you Brand, but that's it.

Well, I'm not a Duke fan, but that really isn't relavent to college basketball.

Nova has no answer for Shelden Williams. It'll be close for awhile due to Nova's excellent guard play, but I think Duke would eventually pull away.

What about Jason "Jay" Williams? He got a gig with ESPN, right?

OP

I can see UConn kicking the players caught stealing out of school. But it is unreasonable to punish the whole team, coaches, and the school for the actions of two players.

By "They", I just meant the two players who were involved with the theft.

UConn couldn't pull away from them, they got up by 12 in the second half but this Nova team never gets flustered and pretty much erased it and took the lead back in 5 minutes. It just seems like every analysis keeps saying how any team with a dominating big man could contain the Wildcats and beat them inside, but so far only one team has done that in my opinion (Texas w/ Aldridge). If you remember last years tournament they came closer to beating UNC then anyone else, and if not for a BOGUS travel call instead of an And-1 foul, they very well might have beat them. Just look out for this Nova team in March guys, very well coached and very battled tested in the Big Big East this year.

Don't forget how Duke totally destroyed Texas by 31 freaking points at the Meadowlands this year. If Texas contained Nova on the inside, I would love to see what Duke can do to them with their inside/out game.

yeah duke destroyed texas in meaningless game during december. then again our players don't really care enough to ever be more than a sweet 16 team.

as far as violations, blah blah whatever they still let in kids that scored significantly lower on SATs and have terrible GPAs.

Don't forget Texas got crushed by an undersized Tennessee team the very next game.

Duke just hasn't been caught. They do plenty wrong.

K's behaviour during games should hardly be considered "everything that is right."
This is absolutely true.

To have the NCAA investigate Duke or UNC would probably require a law passed by Congress, signed by the President, and enforced by the National Guard.

Duke is not the saintly entity many people think it is. Live in the area, know players and people who know the players and you'd know that.

they are also cocky and recent consistent underachievers when it matters (in the tournament)
No Dook fan here, but you don't know what you're talking about. K has taken Dook to 3 national championships, a load of ACC titles, and a load of Final Fours.
Seems like at one point they went to something like 7 of 9 Final Fours, or something ridiculous like that.

So in order not to punish the whole team by losing two stars and causing them to suck, they keep the thieves on the team?

Exactly. I puked a little in my mouth after reading the OP.

Grant Hill. Christian Laettner. Jason Williams before his motorcycle wreck. Corey Magetti is still playing.
Danny Ferry played a long time.
And Brand, of course.

He had that knock about no NBA players for a long time, but those days are over.

Yea because they all do so well in the NBA.

Maggette, Brand, Duhon, Deng, Jones.

What college has the most NBA players in the league? If it's not UNC, it's gotta be Duke.

Im saying overall not this season. It's kind of hard to beat out the coach and team who brought together one of the biggest basetball dynasties. UNC Tarheels

Dynasties? If you want to see a dynasty, look no further than UCLA in the 60s and 70s, or Duke from 1986-1994, or even Kentucky in the mid 90s. I would hardly call a coach that won two national championships twelve years apart bringing together a dynasty.
