Sinful tapestry? you sound like some emo fuck likely to shoot up a school. Look animals had the same 500 million years to evolve as me, they failed as such they taste good. If shoe was on other foot believe it they'd hunt you for food.

Oh and only good thing to come out of UK

If you are equating hunters to animals in terms of what they are able to comprehend as morality then I'd agree.

Oh I don't know that band. I don't see the relevance of them in this post. The only good thing to come out of the USA:

All very good points, I'm not a vegetarian, but I believe eating meat to be morally wrong, I am a hypocrite in this respect, I have no illusions about what I'm doing, I am in my own code of ethics doing something wrong. The distance between me and the kill is irrelevant, it is morally wrong, and I am part of this sinful tapestry, the difference (If there is one) is that I realise what I'm doing is wrong and take no joy in it (other than the physical sensation of my taste buds) but really that's completely irrelevant, it is wrong, to me however eating meat is one thing killing for sport is another. There is a difference (just) in the fact that I take no joy in an animal losing it's life. Both are wrong however.

Well then this is easy: doing something you know to be wrong is worse than doing something that you don't know to be wrong. One could argue that you are (morally) worse than the hunters because they have ignorance as a defense: you have none.

Yep that's a perfectly valid argument, although I never accept ignorance as an excuse.

Cool, neckbeard is here derailing and fucking up the thread.

Thanks Mods!

This isn't a thread being derailed, it's a thread about hunting, and hunt protesters, of which I am one.

You don't know the kinks? And 404 not found.

Double failure all in one post. Are you trying for a record?

I don't know "the kinks" and the 404 not found was on purpose, I was implying that nothing good has come out of the USA, I.e. the only good thing to come out of the USA is not found.

You fail, again. Hunters are humane compared to breeding and slaughter houses. And environmentalists to boot.

Poor protester, next time set the picket line up behind the hunters. At least the protesting agency has a good story to tell and can milk the publicity. That's probably why the others are smiling in the photo, they know this accident will do more for their cause than years of protests.

I disagree.

That's cuz you're ignorant to commercial farming and ranching. I'm not. I've worked on ranches as a kid and saw pigs put into hydraulic presses to slaughter like a concentration camp, injected with crap, feed crap, kept in crowded feces crap conditions, conditions you would not put your worst enemy into and animals stay in it whole life. Just pathetic.

The methodology is absolutely worse, but that isn't the only criteria for measuring morality, the reasoning is paramount and "for fun" is an appalling reason to kill an innocent.

Speaking of food, I had some "fresh out of the chicken" eggs lately, and holy fucking shit they're awesome. Dark yellow/orange yolks with a great strong taste.

Welcome to the bright side of life. I always go egg crazy when I visit my mom, she has some happy chickens.

I don't know people who kill for fun. I did see some punks shooting texas scissor tails once and took thier guns away and took their daddy and two teens to jail but that's an aboration.

Let fun read sport.

Well of course it's sporting catching wild and free animals. Way you do it is cowardice. A 5 yrs old child can pin, grow and slaughter.

Thanks god for GPS, I used to triangulate. now even with tech it's hard.

I don't know what this means

Aside from that
Sports are most often played just for fun or for the simple fact that people need exercise to stay in good physical condition. However, professional sport is a major source of entertainment. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sport

So we're back to fun.
